Artykuł został napisany na podstawie badań aptek na Dolnym Śląsku w okresie od grudnia 2005 do 15 stycznia 2006 r. Jest kontynuacją wyników badań przedstawionych w poprzednich numerach "Gospodarki Materiałowej i Logistyki" w 2006 i 2007 r. Celem obecnego artykułu jest prezentacja wyników dotyczących korzyści oraz niedogodności dostrzeżonych przez użytkowników elektronicznego systemu zamawiania leków (ESZL). Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na wpływ ESZL na proces zamawiania leków oraz zarządzanie gospodarką magazynową. Przedstawione analizy stanowią opis wyników badań przeprowadzonych wśród 261 aptek na Dolnym Śląsku. Szczegółowa metodologia badawcza została opisana we wcześniejszych artykułach.

This paper presents the results of research conducted in order to estimate the advantages and disadvantages of electronic drug ordering system using for pharmacies located in Lower Silesia. The outcome of the research was split into two main criteria: functionality and cost. The first criterion takes the following issues into consideration: convenience of ordering time, inconveniences of EDOS using, security level, ease of use, number of wrong orders made as a result of EDOS using. The second criterion involves issues of storage, cost and time of making orders. The main disadvantage resulting from EDOS using is necessity of installing a computer and making connection in a warehouse which involves also problems connected with sending of order. These problems are of technical nature. Another problem involves making wrong orders by the users themselves. However, this issue results from using databases that are not up-to-date. The overall opinion of users about the electronic drug ordering system is positive. They emphasize the resulting benefits concerning issues of supply service, convenience of ordering at any time and significant shortening of order realisation, lowering the cost of drugs.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań dotyczących zakresu zastosowania elektronicznych systemów zamawiania leków (ESZL) w aptekach dolnośląskich oraz zbadanie rodzajów wykorzystywanych programów magazynowych. Jest on kontynuacją rozważań teoretycznych, związanych z charakterystyką elektronicznych systemów zamawiania leków, która została przedstawiona w artykule autorów zamieszczonym w poprzednim numerze "Gospodarki Materiałowej i Logistyki". Tam też dokładnie omówiono istotę wykorzystania ESZL, wykorzystywane moduły w systemie i powiązania między nimi, charakterystykę najczęściej wykorzystywanego oprogramowania dostępnego na rynku polskim oraz etapy związane z zamawianiem leków drogą elektroniczną.

The main aim of this paper is to present the results of research conducted in order to estimate the usage of electronic drug ordering system for pharmacies located in Lower Silesia and determine the software being used. The main aims of this paper were split into basic categories. The document takes into consideration the following issues: what kind of data storing software do the pharmacies use; how are the databases updated and how often are they updated; to what extent is the electronic drug ordering system being used; what are the most important problems connected with the implementation of the electronic drug ordering system. According to the result of researching 300 pharmacies the following facts have been observed: Kamsoft sp. z o.o. has monopoly on pharmacies' computer store software market, the major problem of using electronic inventory systems is the necessity of keeping medicines' database up-to-date which makes the pharmacies much more dependent on the third party service connected with updating this database; the methods of ordering medicines are not diverse, some pharmacies have resigned from using electronic drug ordering system, the main obstacles to implementing electronic drug ordering system are caused by inconsistency resulting from technological limitations and psychological barriers; users who don't use the electronic drug ordering system claim that there is no real need for it.
