This paper presents an algorithm and computer code for analyzing of the dynamics of the outer rotor permanent magnet brushless DC motor. The mathematical model of the motor includes: the electromagnetic field equation, the electric circuit equations and the equation of mechanical motion. The finite element method (FEM) has been applied. The influence of the magnetic circuit geometry of the rotor on the BLDC motor parameters has been investigated. Two different rotor structures have been considered. Selected results of the analysis are presented and discussed.
The paper deals with the problem of surface-integral representation of an electromagnetic force in anisotropic region. The electromagnetic force calculated by means of Maxwell's and Lorentz's methods could lead to different results for some anisotropic media. The theorem of surface-integral representation of Lorentz's force in electromagnetic field is formulated. Examples of analytical calculations of forces for both the isotropic and anisotropic media in electromagnetic field are provided.
