The Vectron locomotives are a Siemens proposal covering locomotives dedicated to both passenger and freight traffic, capable of operating under a wide range of supply voltages (multi-system, single-system, etc. versions are offered), on both normal and broad-gauge track. A diesel version was also designed for operation on non-electrified lines. The Vectron locomotives are a variant of the Eurosprinter ones, developed in the early 1990s and enriched by the operation experience acquired, both on the German or Austrian railway network and in other EU countries (acceptance to operate as part of the liberalization of the common market). To date, circa 1,500 Eurosprinter locomotives have been sold, primarily in Europe and also in the USA, where they are operated in moderate climate, and both the Mediterranean one and the cold Scandinavian winters.

W pracy przedstawiono statystyczną uszkadzalność lokomotyw elektrycznych serii ET 22 i ET -41 w wybranych Zakładach Taboru. Przedstawiona statystyka uszkodzeń daje możliwość dostosowanie cykli obsługowych wybranych lokomotyw do rzeczywistych warunków. Analiza awarii w obwodzie głównym lokomotyw elektrycznych umożliwia egzemplifikację przyczyn uszkodzeń i korektę cykli przeglądowo-naprawczych.

The paper presents a statistical breakdowns of electrical locomotives series of ET 22 and ET -41 in selected Factory of Rolling Stock. Damage statistics presented gives the possibility to adapt the selected locomotive servicing cycles for the actual conditions. Analysis of failures in the main circuit electric locomotives can cause damage exemplification.

EN
The paper deals with the description of electric motors as one of the parts of the driving system model designed to simulate mechanical phenomena. The first part of this text describes a model of a serial DC motor which was extensively used in locomotive design in the past. Attention is paid to the formulation of nonlinear magnetisation characteristics and obtaining its parameters from a complete tractive effort diagram of a locomotive. Further, a brief description of a three-phase asynchronous motor based on the Kloss model is given.

The paper deals with the possible traction equipment and traction drives for DC locomotives reconstructed for dual feed system in Slovakia. The accent is put on the using of modern asynchronous traction motors and comparison of parameters of proposed ATM and original DC traction motors, cooling of traction equipment, improvement of rebuilted locomotives operational parameters as well. The research and development of new traction equipment is carried out in the frame of Project No APVV-0549-06 supported by the Agency APVV.
