Charging station location optimization of electric ship based on backup coverage model

In terms of electric ship energy requirement in navigation, the ship charging station location is especially important. In this paper, a multi-period ship charging station location optimization model is pro-posed to make location decision in overall, from initial possible station sites chosen to the capacity determination for the final location sites. In the first phase, from the perspective of external environment, find out all possible ship charging station candidate sites through the feasible analyze. In the second phase, taking the ship charging demands into consideration, the final ship charging station sites can be selected among the candidate sites based on backup coverage model. In the last phase, regarding the cost of construction and service capability for different grade as the main factor in capacity determination, the optimal capacity of each final ship charging station are determined by means of optimization method. Finally, an example of Yanqi lake in China is used to verify the validity of the proposed methodology. The reasonable location of charging station could ensure the electric energy supply and avoid congestion caused by ship charging gathering. The model can be easily generalized to other problems regarding facility allocation based on user demand.

W mikroekonomii istnieje koncepcja tragedii wspólnego pastwiska. Opisuje ona sytuację, kiedy ludzie mają nieograniczony dostęp do ograniczonych zasobów. Taka sytuacja może prowadzić do zniszczenia lub wyeksploatowania takich zasobów. W artykule podjęto próbę określenia, czy ta definicja jest adekwatna do sytuacji występującej w zapewnieniu dostaw energii elektrycznej do odbiorców końcowych.

In microeconomics we can find a term „the tragedy of the commons” that describes the situation when people have got an unlimited access to scarce resources. Such a situation can lead to destruction or depletion of these resources. An attempt is made to determine whether the definition is adequate to situation occurring when the electric power supply must be ensured for all the end users.

The article features the possibilities to develop a high-speed switching device. The device has been designed to work in dangerouns coal mines with gas- and coal dust explosion hazards. Once the switch is implemented, the number of accidents and breakdowns in coal mines is likely to decrease.

W pracy przedstawiono możliwości skonstruowania urządzenia wyłączeniowego o bardzo dużej prędkości działania. Urządzenie przeznaczone jest do pracy w nie-bezpiecznych kopalniach węgla, w których występują zagrożenia gazowe i pyłowe. Efektem wdrożenia urządzenia będzie zmniejszenie liczby wypadków i awarii w zakładach przemysłu węglowego.

Przeprowadzono ocenę jakości wiejskich sieci dystrybucyjnych na tle jakości sieci miejskich oraz zmian, jakie zaszły w tym zakresie w Polsce w latach 2001-2007. Praca zawiera także ocenę ilościową i wartościową tych sieci. Cel pracy zrealizowano na przykładzie sieci średniego i niskiego napięcia, znajdujących się w rejonie obsługi energetycznej trzech wybranych spółek dystrybucyjnych.

The study was carried out to assess the quality of rural power distribution networks, against a background of urban networks quality and the changes having been occurred in this field in Poland within 2001-2007. Investigations included also a quantitative and valuable evaluation of these networks. The aim of work has been realized on an example of the medium and low voltage networks localized on the area of energy supply by 3 selected distribution companies.
