The paper presents the influence of the elastomeric pad on the value of local compressive stresses in the web of steel crane beam. The numerical analysis of crossing crane wheel through continuous rail and contact rails were presented. Two situation of connection the rail with the top flange were analyzed - crane rail not rigidly fixed to flange and crane rail mounted on the suitable resilient elastomeric bearing pad at least 6 mm thick. The standards form PN-EN 1993-1-1 and PN-B-03200:1990 were discussed. The analytical results were compared with the numerical results.
