This paper presents common classifications of business models on the Internet. It also discusses the author’s own typology of corporate presence in the social media. A new trend in social networks is to build communities around thematic portals. Examples of such solutions include group buying and crowd funding. It has been pointed out that the existing legislation lags behind the dynamic growth of crowd funding in Poland.

Celem referatu jest przedstawienie możliwości, jakie daje wykorzystanie technik informatyczno-komunikacyjnych w rozwoju terenów wiejskich jak również barier, które skutecznie hamują postęp w tej dziedzinie.

The development of information technology, especially the internet, contributed to equal opportunities of accessing information, education, products and services (available due, to internet access) regardless of location. Paradoxically the development of computer science only enlarged the differences between cities and small towns instead of reducing them. A computer with internet access as well as the knowledge of how to use it, is essential for accessing newest technologies, hi the mean time, the education levels of people living in rural areas are lower when contrasted with big cities. Electronic economy might therefore seem too sophisticated or expensive for these people. In consequence the investments in information structures have a tendency to concentrate around the more urbanized regions, which in turn leads to a further stagnation of technological development of villages, reducing the perspectives for their development.
