Route passenger transport plays a significant role in cities' life and economic development, providing movement for the population, improving the environmental situation, and improving road safety. Improving the efficiency of route passenger transport is also essential because the taxpayers' tax subsidizes it. The most researched aspects have always been the choice of the passenger capacity of vehicles, management of their filling, and appointment of route intervals. This research aims to increase the efficiency of route passenger transport. This study identifies ways to improve the efficiency of route passenger transport by reducing costs arising from the imperfect allocation of drivers on routes, irrational use of vehicles working hours, and drivers working hours. Such costs are called unproductive costs. The solution to the problem of increasing efficiency is realized by developing the author's sectoral method described in the article. This article discusses the application of the sectoral method to improve the efficiency of route passenger transport based on the improvement of processes related to the organization of passenger transportation, taking into account the characteristics of various types of route passenger transport by organizing the work of drivers on routes. Methods, techniques, and algorithms and their application are considered. The use of the sectoral approach has made it possible to increase the efficiency of route passenger transport and reduce unproductive costs.

The aim of the research was the evaluation of wastewater management in terms of stability and efficiency of wastewater treatment, using statistical quality control. For this purpose, the analysis of the operation and operation of the “Kujawy” Sewage Treatment Plant was made, which is one of the most important and largest sewage management facilities in the city of Cracow. This assessment was done using control charts x for 59 observations. The analysed research period covered the multi-year from 2012 to 2016. Five key pollutant indicators were used to evaluate the work of the tested object: BOD5 , CODCr, total suspension, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. In the case of the majority of them, based on the analysis of control charts, full stability of their removal was found in the tested sewage management facility. The exception was total nitrogen, for which periods of disturbed stability of its disposal processes were noted. Analysis of the effectiveness of wastewater treatment showed each time that the required efficiency of reduction of the analysed pollution indicators in the “Kujawy” Sewage Treatment Plant was achieved.

W pracy dokonano oceny skuteczności i oraz stabilności pracy oczyszczalni ścieków w Zabajce na podstawie wyników pomiarów fizyko-chemicznych próbek ścieków surowych i oczyszczonych odnotowanych w latach 2010 – 2014. Analizą objęto następujące wskaźniki zanieczyszczeń: BZT5, ChZTCr oraz zawiesinę ogólną na podstawie dla których wyznaczono podstawowe statystyki opisowe, procentową wielkość redukcji oraz współczynniki niezawodności technologicznej oczyszczalni (WN). Oceny stabilności pracy oczyszczalni dokonano na podstawie kart kontrolnych X dla pojedynczej próby. Bazując na uzyskanych wynikach stwierdzono, że analizowana oczyszczalnia ścieków działa w sposób prawidłowy, o czym świadczą wysokie wartości redukcji wskaźników zanieczyszczeń oraz wielkości WN, które są mniejsze od 1,00. Analiza kart kontrolnych wskazuje na niestabilność procesu oczyszczania jedynie w odniesieniu do ChZTCr, co jednak nie wpływa na sprawność oczyszczania względem tego wskaźnika.

In the article the assessment of the efficiency and stability of work sewage treatment plant in Zabajka was performed based on the results of the physico-chemical measurements raw sewage and treated sewage noted in the period between 2010 and 2014. The analysis was performed for the following pollutants indicators: BOD5, CODCr and total suspended solids. For each of them descriptive statistics, percentage reduction the pollutants indicators and treatment plant reliability factors (WN) were calculated. The assessment of the stability of work of sewage treatment plant was performed by using control cards X for the simple test. Based on the obtained results, it was concluded that sewage treatment plant in Zabajka works properly, what is confirmed by high values of the pollutants indicators reduction and the values of WN, which are less than 1.00. The analysis of the control cards indicates instability of the treatment process only for CODCr, but it does not impact on treatment efficiency in relation to this indicator.
