Według prognoz demograficznych dla krajów uprzemysłowionych w ciągu najbliższych 30 lat nastąpi znaczny przyrost liczby osób starszych. Wiele z tych osób będzie mobilnych i aktywnych, także jako kierowcy, pomimo ograniczeń sprawności wynikających z upływu lat. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań przeprowadzonych na świecie dotyczących starszych kierowców, działania podejmowane z myślą o nich w wybranych krajach oraz pakiet edukacyjny przeznaczony dla kierowców kategorii B powyżej 50 roku życia, opracowany w Instytucie Transportu Samochodowego.

According to the demographic prognoses for the industrialized countries in the following 30 years a significant inerease in the number of elderly people will take place, Majority of these people will remain active, also as drivers, despite the limitations resulting from their age.The article presents the results of various researches carried out worldwide with regard to older drivers, activities undertaken towards them in selected countries as well as educational package dedicated to B category drivers over 50 years old developed in the Motor Transport Institute.

Program „Uczenie się przez całe życie” został ustanowiony na mocy decyzji przyjętej przez Parlament Europejski i Radę Europejską 15 listopada 2006 roku. Obejmuje on lata 2007–2013. W jego ramach znalazły się cztery programy sektorowe: Comenius (oświaty), Erasmus (szkolnictwa wyższego), Leonardo da Vinci (kształcenia zawodowego), Grundtvig (kształcenia dorosłych), a także programy Jean Monnet oraz międzysektorowy. Program ten jest skierowany do osób w każdym wieku — dzieci, młodzieży i dorosłych, od przedszkola po uniwersytety trzeciego wieku. Całkowity budżet programu na lata 2007–2013 wynosi 6,970 milionów euro. Będą w nim kontynuowane działania prowadzone wcześniej w Socratesie, Leonardo da Vinci oraz e-Learning.

On 15 November 2006 ‘Lifelong Learning Programme’ (LLP) was adopted by the European Parliament and by the Council for the years 2007–2013. The new LLP comprises four sectoral programmes: Comenius (school education), Erasmus (higher education), Leonardo da Vinci (vocational training), Grundtvig (adult education), and is completed by a transversal programme focusing on policy cooperation, languages, information and communication technology and dissemination and exploitation of results. Finally, a Jean Monnet programme focuses on European integration and support for certain key institutions and associations active in the field. The new Lifelong Learning Programme supports learning opportunities from childhood to old age in every single life situation The programme budget will be € 6,970 million for the total period 2007–2013 and is the successor to the current Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci and e-Learning programmes.

As an answer to the diminishing number of candidates formining programmes in many European countries and the continuous industry demand for highly qualified university graduates the concept of joined curriculum mining programmes was developed. The basic idea consisted of the establishment of educational networks, within which the students move, choose educational modules, take the required examinations, prepare their thesis and obtain the graduate engineer degree at one of the universities integrated in the network. An approved precursor for this structure was the European Mining Course (EMC). Later two other programmes have been added - European Geotechnical and Environmental Course was the last to join this structure. Development of an international joined curriculum and launching the programme is a difficult and complex process. It requires consensus among the partners in developing the optimum curriculum regarding expertise of the partners, programme requirements as well as industry suggestions, available facilities, possible technical trips, travel distances and costs. However the major obstacles in successful launching and running international joined curriculum programmes are administrative barriers at university level as well as national legal regulations. Running the programme is a continuous improvement process. Keeping up to high quality standards requires monitoring the students', teachers' and coordinators' feedback. Is this high effort worthwhile?

Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia proces opracowania Europejskiego Kursu Geotechniki i Ochrony Środowiska przez 5 uniwersytetów w Niemczech, na Słowacji, na Węgrzech i w Polsce. Zagrożenia i możliwości środowiska edukacyjnego w Europie Środkowej pokazano jako tło sytuacji. Omówiono problemy i napotkane wyzwania, wyciągnięte wnioski i odniesione sukcesy. Zaprezentowano niektóre praktyczne aspekty, takie jak treść kursów i metody nauczania, procedury administracyjne, współpraca między uniwersytetami partnerskimi i górnictwem.

The scope of humidity measurement and sensors included in lectures on Measuring Fundamentals and Integrated Sensors is presented in the paper. There are also presented laboratory stands for exercises related with humidity measurement. Ways of executing of teaching programme in Laboratories of Measuring Fundamentals and Integrated Sensors are described.
