W artykule zaprezentowano eksperymentalny system pozwalający na ocenę przydatności najnowszych osiągnięć technologii SSL LED dla potrzeb doświetlania roślin. Zastosowane w systemie diody LED zostały wprowadzone do sprzedaży w ciągu ostatnich kilkunastu miesięcy, a ich parametry pozwoliły na prognozowanie pozytywnego wyniku eksperymentu. Przy projektowaniu systemu uwzględniono trudne warunki technoklimatyczne środowiska, w którym system będzie eksploatowany. Dla oceny systemu przeprowadzono pomiary: charakterystyk spektralnych, liczności fotonów oraz rozsyłu strumienia świetlnego. System zainstalowano w nowoczesnej szklarni należącej do Wydziału Ogrodniczego Uniwersytetu Rolniczego w Krakowie i przeprowadzono szereg badań, pozwalających na ocenę jego przydatności w procesie doświetlania roślin. Do eksperymentu wybrano roszponkę warzywną (Valerianella locusta), roślinę o bardzo atrakcyjnych walorach smakowych i zdrowotnych, której cena rynkowa uzasadnia poniesienie dodatkowych nakładów na jej doświetlanie.

The article presents the experimental system to measure the usefulness of the latest SSL LED technology for irradiation of plants. LEDs applied to the system were introduced for sale in the last several months, and their parameters allowed us to predict a positive outcome of the experiment. When designing the system the difficult conditions of the environment in which the system will be operated were taken into account. For the evaluation of the system the following measurements were done: spectral characteristics, multiplicity of photons and light distribution. The system was installed in a modem greenhouses belonging to the Faculty of Horticulture of the University of Agriculture in Krakow and several studies to assess its usefulness in the process of plants irradiation were conducted. For the experiment, vegetable lamb's lettuce (Valerianella locusta] was selected, a plant that has a very appealing taste and is beneficial for health. The market price justifies the additional expenses incurred for its irradiation.
