Matematyczny model przestrzennej struktury dzianiny kolumienkowej zbudowany jest z płaszczyzn macierzy cyfrowych Aj’ opisujących rozmieszczenie elementów strukturalnych ayx w splotach składowych dzianiny. Elementom strukturalnym ayx przyporządkowano wartości cyfrowe według określonych zasad. Zmienna konfiguracja nitek w elementach ayx (oczka, proste odcinki wątku, pętle) oraz wynikające z tego zmiany parametrów budowy elementów (długość nitki, masa powierzchniowa, zapełnienie) są charakterystycznymi cechami segmentowej przestrzennej budowy dzianin anizotropowych kolumienkowych.

A mathematical model of a spatial structure of anisotropic warp knitted fabric is made of planes of numerical matrices Aj’ describing the arrangement of structural elements ayx in the component stitches of a knitted fabric. Numerical values are assigned to the structural elements ayx according to specified principles. The changeable configuration of threads in elements ayx (stitches, straight segments of weft, loops) and the resulting changes in the structural parameters of certain elements (length of thread, surface density and relative cover) are characteristic features of a segmental spatial structureof anisotropic warp knitted fabrics.
