One of the benefits resulting from the implementation of land consolidation works should be the positive socio-economic change felt in rural areas. The aim of this paper is to examine the level of socio-economic development of rural municipalities of Małopolska Region, in which land consolidation projects were implemented in the years 2004–2013. The following were determined: the scope of implementation of land consolidation projects in municipalities of Małopolska Region, and the level of the socio-economic development of those municipalities. The study employed the following methods: analysis and synthesis of the literature, and the application of spatial-statistical approaches. The study determined that the values of the indicator expressing the dynamics of changes to the socio-economic development of municipalities were three times higher for the municipalities in which traditional land consolidation works were implemented as opposed to infrastructural ones. It was also observed that in the municipalities, in which traditional consolidation works were implemented, the level of socio-economic changes always took positive values, thus indicating the socio-economic development advantage compares to the situation in municipalities in which infrastructural consolidation projects were implemented.

Saturation and dynamics of the change of water and sewage infrastructure in the subregion of Western Malopolska in the years 2003–2013 have been determined. It covers the area of four counties located farthest west and north of the Malopolskie Voivodeship that is Chrzanów county, Olkusz county, Oświęcim county and Wadowice county. In order to illustrate the condition of water-sewage economy of the subregion, the number of connections, the number of users and the length of collective sewerage system and the length of distributive water supply system have been evaluated.

Artykuł przedstawia kształtowanie się wskaźników innowacyjności Polski na tle innych krajów UE oraz uśrednionego wskaźnika dla UE. W artykule przedstawiono także metodykę określania innych wskaźników zagregowanych, charakteryzujących gospodarki krajów, dotyczących konkurencyjności i kreatywności. Analizy wskaźników innowacyjności dotyczą wskaźnika Summary Innovation Index, publikowanego w corocznych raportach Innovation Union Scoreboard i obejmują okres od 2004 roku (przystąpienie Polski do UE) do 2014 roku czyli ostatnich dostępnych danych, związanych z innowacyjnością krajów UE.

The paper presents the formation of innovativeness index of Po-land in comparison of other countries of EU and global index in EU. Moreover the methodology of constructing other composite indexes for comparative international analysis of the national economies have been presented. The analysis con-sider Summary Innovation Index published in the annual Innovation Union Scoreboard and covers the period since 2004 (Poland EU access) to 2014 – the last available data regarding innovativeness in EU.

W pracy przeprowadzono analizę prawidłowości dynamiczno-strukturalnych rozwoju wybranych elementów infrastruktury technicznej, określono wzorce rozwoju oraz ustalono wielkości opóźnień czasowych występujących pomiędzy poszczególnymi obiektami i obiektami wzorcowymi. Jako obiekty badawcze przyjęto powiaty województwa podkarpackiego, opisane trzema cechami z zakresu infrastruktury technicznej dla lat 1990 do 2001. Wyznaczone szeregi czasowe umożliwiły obliczenie parametrów funkcji trendu, a te z kolei stanowiły podstawę budowy prognoz rozwoju badanych elementów infrastruktury technicznej. Parametry funkcji trendu agregowanej zmiennej rozwoju infrastruktury technicznej posłużyły również do oceny opóźnień czasowych pomiędzy najbardziej rozwiniętym powiatem a pozostałymi powiatami.

An analysis of dynamic and structural regularities of selected technical infrastructure elements development was conducted in the paper, models of development were defined and delays occurring among individual objects and standard objects were determined. Counties of the Podkarparckie voivodship described by three characteristics of technical infrastructure for 1990 and 2001 provided the research objects. The established time sequences made possible calculating trend function parameters, which in turn provided a basis for predicting the development of studied technical infrastructure elements. Trend function parameters of aggregated variable of technical infrastructure development were also used for an assessment of delays between the best developed county and the other ones.
