The paper concerns experimental investigation of structural behaviour of multi-member tubular energy absorber subject to lateral crushing load. Results of former theoretical research carried out by the authors into the structural absorber`s behaviour under static load is realized by means of hydraulic system is presented. The stand enables to measure both the crushing load and the absorber`s deformation during each crush-test. Experimental, dynamical load-deformation curves are compared with those obtained from FE simulation for the absorber subject to static load. Conclusions concerning an agreement between results of both simulations (experimental and numerical) are derived.
