The process of implementation of new developments, in particular, new generation rolling stock holds a prominent place among the range of measures for organization of high-speed passenger rail transportation in Ukraine. The example of permission for use and the initial phase of work with interregional NRCS2 dual-mode electric trains produced by Hyundai-Rotem Corporation is the illustrative one in this context. Due to the detection of macro-cracks in bolster beams of the car body frames of these electric trains, namely in the areas of mounting of anti-yaw dampers, these trains were taken out of service until the completion of the modernization of problematic nodes. The comprehensive study on the determination of the safety parameters of electric trains was conducted to determine the causes of destruction of bolster beams. At the same time, bolster beams loading was estimated depending on the characteristics of anti-yaw dampers by means of computer simulation of the dynamics of motion of trailing and motor cars. The feasibility of selection of parameters for anti-yaw dampers mounted on electric train cars was assessed. The results of work will improve the safe operation of high-speed trains and increase the efficiency of estimates regarding the loading of bearing structures of underframes of the of rolling stock.

The paper presents result of theoretical analysis of the spatial dynamic performances for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This drone is designed and produced by consortium consisted of The Air Force Institute of Technology, The Military University of Technology, The Warsaw University of Technology and The MSP enterprise. A plane JET-2 is the jet-powered airplane dedicated for Polish Military Forces. It will be used in the training process of anti-aircraft crews. Because of high level of requirements (maximum speed, stall speed, climb rate, range and endurance), it has been designed as the jet-powered aircraft. This plane will perform autonomous flights and therefore it should be stable in all phases of flight – static and dynamic stability is desirable. Therefore, the theoretical analysis focused on the stability performances have been performed, parallel to laboratory tests. They were done using nonlinear mathematical model of the JET-2. This model will be described in the paper as well as selected results of numerical simulations. The UAV JET-1 parameters and main parts of the system with the performances as the take-off mass 80 kg, the maximum speed 150 m/s, the endurance 60 min, the altitude 5000 m are presented in the paper.

W artykule przedstawiono sposób wyznaczania charakterystyk dynamicznych stalowej wieży wyciągowej. Charakterystyki te - niezmiernie ważne dla poprawnego określenia odporności dynamicznej konstrukcji inżynierskich - określono na podstawie analizy modelu teoretycznego rozważanej wieży, a następnie potwierdzono przez analizę zarejestrowanych sygnałów. Wyniki analizy doświadczalnej byty podstawą weryfikacji zaproponowanego modelu teoretycznego konstrukcji.

This article presents a manner of determination of dynamie performances for steel hoist tower. These characteristics - as of the utmost importance for correct defining of dynamie resistance for civil engineering structures - were specified on the grounds of theoretical model analysis for considered tower, and then were confirmed by analysis of registered signals. The experimental analysis results have formed the basis for verification of proposed theoretical model of the structure.

Combinations and Genetic Algorithms for the Locations and tuning of Robust Power System Stabilizers (PSS's) is presented in this paper. The PSS parameters and locations are computed to assure maximum damping performance under different operating conditions. The efficacy of this technique in damping local and inter-area modes of oscillations in multimachine power systems is confirmed through nonlinear simulation results and eigenvalues analysis.

This paper describes the development of induction machine models that include magnetic saturation and iron losses by the space vector. To this effect, four models are reviewed: the first one is the linear model that assumes the entire simplified hypothesis; the second takes into account the saturation of the magnetising flux. The third and fourth models take into account the iron losses. Then an approach of induction machine modelling in which are introduced iron losses and saturation, is presented in this paper. Simulation and experimental results are performed to verify the validity of developed models for finally choosing the most precise.

Artykuł przedstawia rozwój modeli maszyny indukcyjnej uwzględniających nasycenie rdzenia magnetycznego i straty w rdzeniu za pomocą wektora przestrzennego. Opisano cztery modele: pierwszy -liniowy, ze wszystkimi założeniami upraszczającymi, drugi - z uwzględnieniem zjawiska nasycenia, trzeci i czwarty - uwzględniające również straty w rdzeniu. Przedstawiono rezultaty badań symulacyjnych oraz laboratoryjnych umożliwiające weryfikację prezentowanych modeli w celu wyboru modelu najdokładniejszego.
