This article demonstrates the concept of fatigue test method that uses dynamic excitations. The contents presented current research and developed stand to carry out the fatigue tests. Numerical results are presented for tests carried out for 18G2A steel. Based on the existing fatigue characteristics of the material FEM supported computation will be performed and verified by experimental testing.

W czasie badań mierzono częstotliwości, amplitudy i przyspieszenia drgań. Badania wykazały, że pomierzone częstotliwości drgań są zbliżone do obliczonych. Stwierdzono, że cechą charakterystyczną kładki jest jej duża pobudliwość dynamiczna. Badania wskazują na konieczność przeprowadzania analizy dynamicznej kładek z lekkim i mało sztywnym pomostem.

The paper presents results of testing of a footbridge of complex static scheme, with composite deck. The characteristic feature of the composite deck is its small mass and stiffness. During the testing vibration frequencies, amplitudes and accelerations were measured. Frequencies obtained from testing are similar to the computed ones. Moreover it was found that the main footbridge feature is its significant dynamic excitability. In the case of free walking of group of people serviceability limit state of comfort was not exceeded. In the case of marching of group of people or in the case of running of group of people the recorded vibration accelerations exceeded limits set by standards. Testing proved the necessity of dynamic analyses for footbridges with light, low-stiffness decks.
