W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań wybranych właściwości fizykochemicznych betonu oraz cegły ceramicznej, z których 70 lat temu wykonano fundamenty obiektów infrastruktury byłego Obozu Zagłady Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Omówione badania przeprowadzono w ramach programu, którego celem było rozpoznanie i dokumentacja stanu zachowania budynków obozowych stanowiących bezcenne materialne obiekty historyczne o charakterze martyrologicznym. Badania prowadzono na odwiertach rdzeniowych z oryginalnych fragmentów konstrukcji budynków obozowych oraz fragmentach cegieł ceramicznych. Wyniki badań i ich analiza pozwoliły na oszacowanie wytrzymałości na ściskanie oraz stopnia degradacji betonu i cegieł w fundamentach przedmiotowych obiektów.

The article presents the results of selected physico-chemical properties of concrete and ceramic bricks, of which the foundations of infrastructure facilities at the former death camp of Auschwitz II-Birkenau were made 70 years ago. The tests were conducted as part of a broad program aimed at the exploration and documentation of the condition of the camp buildings that are invaluable historical material objects of martyrdom. The study was conducted using cores taken from original parts of the camp buildings' structures and parts of ceramic bricks. The results and analysis made it possible to estimate the compression strength and the degree of degradation of concrete and bricks in the foundations of these objects.

Accelerated methods for estimating the durability of plain bearings

The paper presents methods for determining the durability of slide bearings. The developed methods enhance the calculation process by even 100000 times, compared to the accurate solution obtained with the generalized cumulative model of wear. The paper determines the accuracy of results for estimating the durability of bearings depending on the size of blocks of constant conditions of contact interaction between the shaft with small out-of-roundedness and the bush with a circular contour. The paper gives an approximate dependence for determining accurate durability using either a more accurate or an additional method.
