In many fields, including printing, environmental regulations require application of green technologies. For green digital printing, inks are fundamental. Along with development of inkjet printing, the inks have also undergone their evolution. Water based and solvent inks used for inkjet printing have significantly been developed in terms of quality and quantity. Various types of new water based and green solvent inks have been introduced. Technologies of inkjet printing with inks cured with uv radiation continue to develop dynamically. New technologies of solid inkjet printing become more and more popular. The article discusses types of inks used in digital inkjet printing. New types presented in the article include Xerox and Océ solid inks and machines using technologies of solid inkjet printing. The article shows properties and aspects of application of the most popular green inks - HP latex and water and resin based Auares produced by Sepiax .
