W procesie rewitalizacji zastosowano mieszane mechaniczne metody remediacji wód, takie jak refulacja strefowa, pogłębianie strefowe za pomocą pogłębiarek chwytakowych oraz wycinka biomasy makrofitów zanurzonych i wynurzonych harwesterem wodnym na większym obszarze zbiornika. Następnie zaaplikowano biopreparaty kierunkowe w celu przyspieszenia procesów biodegradacji zanieczyszczeń organicznych w wodach zbiornika zaporowego. Odnotowano znaczące zmniejszenie osadów dennych (miękkich frakcji organicznych) w obszarze, gdzie nie stosowano metod mechanicznych. Wprowadzenie mikrobiologicznych preparatów znacząco złagodziło zaburzenia wynikające z inwazyjnej ingerencji metod mechanicznych oraz poprawiło strefę eufotyczną wody i korzystnie wpłynęło na poprawę profilu tlenowego od wody przydennej do powierzchniowej.

Mech. and biotechnol. methods were used to revitalize the Pasternik reservoir. The dredging process was carried out to restore water retention in zones intensively shallowed by bottom debris. Then, highly effective biomixts. of microorganisms were used to actively biodegrade org. matter in sediments as well as pollutants and nutrients present in water. A significant increase in transparency of water, redn. in nutrient load, and decrease in the layer of soft org. fractions deposited on the bottom of the reservoir were achieved. The conditions of the euphotic zone improved dramatically.

Organization of the dredging works is a multi-faceted issue. The management of the dredging process varies according to the location and it mostly depends on local conditions (Żak, 2014). The paper presents the results of the expert survey which was structured on a questionnaire concerning the dredging techniques in harbours. Respondents, that take part in the research, were experts from different nations, working at the management levels in the enterprises associated with the dredging branch. The aim of the proposed research was to support the selection of the appropriate dredger, the preparation of optimal work technology and the verification of strategic decisions affecting entire project. Taking everything into consideration the author proposes to use the expert survey as a technique to support the decision-making process. It enables to take advantage of the wide knowledge and experience of experts to create the most suitable dredging project.
