W artykule podano podstawowe wskaźniki techniczno-ekonomiczne (wydajność, koszty) wydobycia kruszyw żwirowo--piaskowych dla wybranych, najczęściej stosowanych typów pogłębiarek i czterech różnych złóż. Dane eksploatacyjne zebrano z kopalń kruszyw w Polsce i w Niemczech. Następnie przeprowadzono porównawczą ocenę techniczną i ekonomiczną doboru technologii wydobycia dla przykładowo wybranego złoża kruszywa żwirowo-piaskowego.

The article presents basic technical and economic indicators (productivity, costs) of gravel and sand aggregate extraction for the most commonly used types of dredgers and four different deposits. The operational data were collected from aggregate mines in Poland and Germany. Then a comparative technical and economic evaluation of the selection of extraction technologies for exemplary selected gravel and sand aggregate was carried out.

This work is an attempt to answer the question of what types of dredgers applied in dredging works at sea are most advantageous in the context of the rule of the most limited possible intervention into the marine environment. Elaborated reviews and depictions of the most popular types of dredgers are presented. An analysis with respect to the impact of the phenomenon of releasing pollutants accumulated in bottom sediments at all stages of the dredging process is also conducted. Its results indicate that application of mechanical or hydraulic suction dredgers is the most advantageous technique in terms of environment protection.

W pracy próbowano znaleźć odpowiedź, jakie pogłębiarki stosowane w pracach pogłębiarskich na morzu są najkorzystniejsze w kontekście zachowania jak najmniejszej ingerencji w środowisko morskie. Dokonano przeglądu i charakterystyki najbardziej popularnych typów pogłębiarek. Przeprowadzona analiza w kontekście wpływu wszystkich etapów procesu pogłębiania na zjawisko uwalniania zanieczyszczeń zawartych w osadach dennych wykazała, że najkorzystniejsze jest stosowanie pogłębiarek ssących z mechanicznym lub hydraulicznym odspajaniem urobku.

This paper presents the principles of selecting drive engines for dredge pumps, formulated by this author. In order to formulate them influence of drive engines on dredge pump characteristics and dredger effectiveness, have been analyzed. Also, an analysis of results of the author’s operational investigations concerning energy consumption and parameters of excavated soil transport on board dredgers has been performed.

This paper presents proposal of a method for determining operational load parameters of dredge pumps, one of the crucial mechanical energy consumers on dredgers. The method based on results of the author’s operational investigations, deals with two main service states of dredge pumps on dredgers, namely: the state of loading the solid into soil hold (of dredger or hopper barge) and the state of pumping ashore.

This paper presents results of operational investigations dealing with dredge pumps, one of the most important mechanical energy consumers installed on dredgers. The investigations covered measurements of parameters which characterize the loads of dredge pumps in their two basic service states, namely during loading the spoil into a soil hold – hopper (of a dredger or hopper barge) and during transferring the spoil ashore.
