Celem artykułu jest ocena dostępności portu lotniczego Rzeszów-Jasionka dla mieszkańców miasta Rzeszowa. Artykuł składa się z trzech części: charakterystyki portu lotniczego, charakterystyki dostępnych połączeń pomiędzy lotniskiem a centrum miasta, oceny dostępności portu lotniczego. Zastosowane metody badawcze to przegląd dostępnych opracowań statystycznych, pomiar bezpośredni oraz karta oceny.

Rzeszów-Jasionka International Airport is located 10 km to the north from the centre of Rzeszów. It is the communication airport in south-eastern tip of Poland, from which operate five airlines. Rzeszów airport records a steady increase in number of passengers. There are also being implemented investments, which improve performing of the airport. The greatest of these was the construction of the new passenger terminal building, in which there are combined two functions: departures and arrivals. The bandwidth of the new terminal might ultimately reach the level of 1,400 passengers per hour. Development of the airport as well as the growth in the number of passengers increases the demand for the direct communication between the airport and the city. From the centre of Rzeszów to the airport passengers can travel for example by using private car or taxi. On the north side of the new passenger terminal there is a monitored car park for both: cars and buses, where you can leave the vehicle during the journey. Access to the airport is provided by two national roads: No. 9 (Rzeszów-Warszawa) and No. 19 (Rzeszów-Lublin). There is also a bus communication provided by the Municipal Transport Company in Rzeszow and the Intercommunal Car Communication. The purpose of this article is to assess the accessibility of the Rzeszów-Jasionka" International Airport for the residents of the Rzeszów City. Article consist of three parts: presenting the characteristic of the airport, characteristic of the communication between the airport and the centre of the city, assessment of the accessibility of the airport. Applied research methods are: overview of the available statistical studies, direct measurement and evaluation cart.

Artykuł przedstawia badanie możliwości zawinięcia do portu w Gdańsku największego statku kontenerowego oraz zacumowanie przy nowoprojektowanym nabrzeżu. Każde pierwsze wejście do portu statku o gabarytach większych aniżeli statków dotychczas zawijających wymaga przeprowadzenia badań. Badanie obejmowało możliwości bezpiecznego manewrowania statku, podchodzenie do portu, obracanie, cumowanie, odcumowanie, jak i współpracę z holownikami. Możliwość wykonania wszystkich powyższych manewrów została zbadana na symulatorze z uwzględnieniem różnych warunków hydrometeorologicznych. Określono graniczne parametry pozwalające na bezpieczne zawinięcie badanego statku do portu. Wyniki badań pozwoliły na stwierdzenie, że nowo wybudowany kontenerowiec klasy Triple E „Maersk McKinney Moeller” może zawinąć do portu Gdańsk, co też nastąpiło w dniu 21.08.2013 r.

The paper presents research into feasibility of entering the port of Gdańsk by the largest container vessel and its berthing at the newly designed quay. Any first entry into a port by a vessel with dimensions larger than the ships so far calling at this port requires testing. The research covered the possibility of safe maneuvering of a vessel, approaching the port, turning, berthing, unberthing and cooperation with the tugs. Feasibility to perform all of these maneuvers has been tested on a simulator, taking into account various hydro-meteorological conditions. Borderline parameters were specified in order to enable safe entering of the vessel to the port. The results have confirmed that the newly-built container a Triple E Class Vessel "Maersk McKinney Moeller" can enter the port of Gdańsk and such event took place on 21 August 2013.
