Zasadniczym celem publikacji jest przeanalizowanie możliwości stworzenia masterplanu oświetleniowego aglomeracji miejskiej w dobie globalizacji. W pracy scharakteryzowano tendencje przemian przestrzennych w tkance miejskiej oraz jej strukturę oświetleniową. Postawiono hipotezę, że podstawą konstrukcji masterplanu oświetleniowego współczesnego miasta powinno być studium fizjonomiczno-krajobrazowe, analiza jego warstwy historycznej oraz aspekty oświetleniowe, kulturowe, społeczne i ekonomiczne. Sformułowano metodykę konstrukcji masterplanu oraz wyciągnięto wnioski dotyczące jego implementacji.

The main purpose of the publication is to analyze the the possibility of creating a lighting agglomeration Masterplan in the age of globalization. This paper characterizes the spatial trends of changes in the structure of the city and its lighting. It is hypothesized that the basis for modern lighting Masterplan design should be a physiognomy and landscape study, historical analysis of its layers and aspects of lighting, cultural, social, and economic. Authors formulated the methodology of Masterplan design and conclusions concerning its implementation.

W artykule zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę podniesienia rangi współczesnych miast poprzez wprowadzanie charakterystycznych elementów architektonicznych, umożliwiających ich wizualną identyfikację. Istota tego zjawiska jest zauważana w Polsce szczególnie w okresie wzmożonej tzw. transformacji miast ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat. W przypadku miast historycznych z klarownymi zasadami dominant i akcentów widokowych, np. w postaci wież kościelnych, ratuszy itp., obserwujemy, że rozrastająca się wokół tych miast nowa tkanka zabudowy, zaciera ich dotychczasowy charakter, ogranicza i szpeci najcenniejsze ujęcia sylwetowe i krajobrazowe. Niejednokrotnie w nowo powstających osiedlach nieuwzględniane są zasady podstawowych reguł kompozycji urbanistycznej z wymogami jasno określonych np. miejsc przestrzeni publicznych.

The paper focuses on the need of raising modern cities' importance by the introduction of characteristic architectural elements enabling their identification. The nature of this phenomenon is especially noticeable in Poland during the so called city transformation which has been increased for several dozen years. In the case of historic cities with clear rules of dominants and viewpoints, e.g. church steeples, town halls, etc., it is observed that the new building area growing around the cities is effacing their previous character, limiting and marring the most valuable profile and landscape takes. Many a time in newly developing housing estates, the basic rules of urban planning including the requirements concerning clearly defined public spaces are not taken into consideration.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie znaczenia dominant architektonicznych w kreowaniu tożsamości przestrzeni publicznych i wizerunku współczesnych aglomeracji miejskich w porze nocnej. Autorzy na podstawie przeprowadzonych w Poznaniu badań, wykorzystując teorię iluminacji obiektów, rozszerzyli teorię dominant architektonicznych o dominanty świetlne. Na podstawie założenia urbanistycznego, jakim jest Trakt Cesarsko-Królewski, zaprezentowali koncepcję poznańskiego ciągu historyczno-kulturowego. Udokumentowali i omówili iluminację obiektów architektonicznych wchodzących w jego skład z uwzględnieniem ich wpływu na zabytkowe śródmieście Poznania. Na tej podstawie wprowadzili i zdefiniowali pojęcie architektonicznej dominanty świetlnej oraz przedstawili przykłady obiektów, które odgrywają taką rolę. Publikacja jest próbą znalezienia możliwości szerszego opisu architektury w porze nocnej za pomocą narzędzia, jakim niewątpliwie jest światło. Oprócz odpowiedzi na postawione w artykule pytania publikacja formułuje nowe, ciekawe, zdaniem autorów, problemy do rozwiązania, co uzasadnia potrzebę kontynuacji badań nad rozważaną tematyką.

The main purpose of this article is definition of importance of the architectural dominante in creating identification of public spaces and image of the agglomeration at nights. The authors, according to researches, which were done in Poznań, and using a theory of architectural objects illumination, have widened a theory of the architectural dominante involving the lighting dominante as well. On the basis of the town planning assumption, which is the imperial and royal road, the Poznanian cultural and historical route was presented. Illuminations of the architectural objects, which are involved in this road, were documented and discussed. Their influence on the historical center of the city was taken into account, too. According to that conception of the architectural lighting dominante was created and examples of the objects which are these dominantes were given. In this publication it is tried to find more possibilities of describing the architectural objects at night by means of different kind of light. The answers to the questions which were asked, are presented in this article. Apart from that, the new and interesting problems to solve, were formulated and this gives reasons for continuing the researches in this subject.

W każdej przestrzeni zorganizowanej występują dzieła budownictwa i architektury charakterystyczne jedynie dla miejsc, w których występują. Przeważnie wyróżniają się bryłą, formą oraz programem funkcjonalnym. Nierzadko stanowią dominanty architektoniczne, a nawet urbanistyczne. Stanowią pewnego rodzaju identyfikatory jednostek zurbanizowanych, w których powstały. Stając się elementem krajobrazu kulturowego wpływają na jego percepcję.

Each organised space is enriched with works of architecture and civil engineering, characteristic only of their locations. Their distinctive features include mainly the shape, form and functional programme. Frequently they are architectural or even urban planning predominates. They play the role of features identifying urban areas where they were created. Becoming part of the cultural landscape, they influence its perception.

Jednym z elementów kształtujących panoramę miasta jest wieża, odbierana jako dominanta, pion, akcent wysokościowy. Wieża ma wpływ na atrakcyjność miasta, organizuje przestrzeń w zasięgu odbioru wizualnego, jest także elementem wartościującym kontekst. Wyszczególnienie akcentów wysokościowych, przedstawienie metod obserwacji w powiązaniu z zapisami graficznymi analiz panoramicznych i położenia, wyznaczenie w mieście i na jego obrzeżach ważnych punktów, miejsc i stref dobrego postrzegania poszczególnych obiektów czy zespołów hierarchicznie najważniejszych wież poznańskich, a także ustalenie ogólnych założeń dotyczących próby określenia zasad zagospodarowania z uwzględnieniem relacji przestrzennych, oraz ich wstępnego zdefiniowania w postaci ustaleń miejscowych - może zahamować proces dewastacji historycznego charakteru śródmieścia, a w konsekwencji - całej sylwety miasta.

A very important aspect of the urban development arę good view zones and points; during the design work, studies and analyses conducted in the first stage of spatial devel-opment, the town planning authorities should not approve or even evaluate any projects for which such analyses or studies have not been performed. Good view zones ensure beautiful panoramie view of the city. Obstruction of such view with large, oversized high - rises will immediately disort the positive visual perception of the city. Depreciation of value of panoramas which arę still considered characteristic for the city should be prevented. The city of Poznań has deep historical roots which arę nów evi-dent in the restored and rebuilt old sacral and secular buildings. It seems worthwhile to maintain the overall architectural climate of the city which should not aim in the direction of a „tali" skyline. Too much has already been said to start loud protests nów, but the examples of wrong architectural and urban decisions in the capi-lal of the region of Wielkopolska arę easily identifiable.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia funkcjonalne, społeczne, a także ekonomiczne kształtowania przestrzeni miejskiej, uwarunkowanych istnieniem lub wprowadzeniem dominanty określonego typu jako obiekt architektoniczny lub zespół urbanistyczny. Jako przedmiot badań wybrano małe miasta w Wielkopolsce wyróżniające się wartościami kulturowymi i historycznymi, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem przestrzeni publicznych. Zainteresowania badawcze skupiono zarówno na roli funkcjonalnej, jak i przestrzennej dominanty jako czynnika krystalizacji układu przestrzennego. Podkreślono znaczenie przestrzeni kulturowych i ich wpływ na odbiór i ocenę atrakcyjności całego miasta.

. In the following paper the attention was focused on the functional, social and economic aspects of the town space creation in the context of the dominant. These aspects are examined in terms of the dominant (existing or introducing) understood as the separate building or a fragment of urban composition. The small towns of Wielkopolska, rich in cultural and historical values, have been chosen as the main research interest. The role of the dominant as the factor of the spatial crystallization of the town structure was accentuated as well. The existence of the cultural space and its impact on the whole town attractiveness was also underlined.
