Purpose: The purpose of this article is to systematize the problems faced by modern supply chains and problems observed in the field of public governance, as well as to indicate solutions to these problems based on the currently developing Distributed Ledger Technology. Design/methodology/approach: The purpose of the article was achieved based on a thorough analysis of contemporary scientific articles and a number of industry reports, as well as websites of institutions involved in the development of DLT with particular emphasis on Blockchain technology. Moreover, two case studies on DLT implementation were presented. Findings: A number of problems have been identified related to the sustainable development of supply chains and societies. They can be systematized by taking into account the concept of the triple bottom line. There are DLT solutions that emphasize sustainable development. Examples of such solutions are described in the article. Research limitations/implications: (if applicable) If research is reported on in the paper, this section must be completed and should include suggestions for future research and any identified limitations in the research process. Practical implications: The use of DLT-based systems in supply chain management and in public management solves specific problems. The article shows how the architecture of DLT systems contributes to the increase in the transparency of the supply chain or public service. Moreover, the article indicates that the implementation of blockchain solutions contributes to increasing the trust in the supply chain management and public governance. Social implications: Described examples of DLT application show a number of benefits for society in terms of pro-ecological behavior, as well as in terms of security of data flowing through the public services system, which is often the subject of public concern. Originality/value: The originality of the article is to emphasize the importance of DLT for shaping sustainable development and to present the described technology as a way to reduce the negative impact of problems identified in the area of both supply chain management and public governance.

Distributed ledger technology has been getting an increased attention in a wide range of applications where a centralized solution is not favorable. One of the most popular DLTs is the well-known Blockchain technology which is currently being adopted in various domains where several independent agents write to the same shared data collection and it has shown a significant potential when it comes to increasing transparency and providing better security. With autonomous systems gaining more momentum and becoming an inseparable part of our day to day lives from autonomous vehicles to wearable devices therefor this article presents the strategy at TITUS-Research for harnessing the DLT potential in the context of autonomous systems by laying the base knowledge behind DLT and highlighting different use cases where it can improve autonomous systems.

Corruption has had a detrimental impact on the South African economy. The use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in combatting corruption is undervalued in e-government contexts, while insufficient empirical data exists to gauge the effectiveness of distributed digital technology in combatting malfeasance. This study explores perceptions on the use of ICT in the procurement corruption investigation sector. Legal and factual perspectives of ICTs, and specifically on Digital Ledger Technology (DLT)'s usefulness in combatting public sector procurement corruption in South Africa was found to be limited. This empirical study found that most respondents in the corruption investigation field had encounters with it in the Public Procurement field of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function. Human interference in the ICT system appears to be the main contributing factor in corrupting the system. Monitoring of user activity logs is recommended as well as strict regulations to prevent ghost users from corrupting ICT systems.

Purpose: The main purpose of the article is to present the current state of knowledge and business practice in the field of the use of Distributed Ledger Technology in logistics, with particular emphasis on Blockchain Technology, along with an indication of examples of its practical application in enterprises providing logistics services. Design/methodology/approach: The article was mainly based on a thorough analysis of quantitative and qualitative data contained in documents made available by the European Union institutions and reports created by institutions aimed to analyze the development of the Blockchain Technology. The data is supported by modern scientific articles concerning the topic of Distributed Ledger Technology in logistics and supply chain. Findings: The result of this article is an indication of the key areas of blockchain technology application, with numerous practical examples of its application. The set of practical applications, created on the basis of literature research and analysis of internet sources concerning individual applications, has been divided according to the criterion of the subject area of its application. Originality/value: The originality of the article consists in analyzing modern solutions based on Blockchain Technology and creating a non-exhaustive collection of 26 applications based on Distributed Ledger Technology aimed to support modern logistic services. This collection has been divided into 4 groups according to area of application criterion.

Content available Modeling of Distributed Ledger Deployment View
EN
The Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a peer-to-peer model of sharing data among collaborating parties in a decentralized manner. An example of DLT is a blockchain where data form blocks in an append-only chain. Software architecture description usually comprises multiple views. The paper concentrates on the Deployment view of the DLT solution within the 1+5 architectural views model. The authors have proposed Unified Modeling Language (UML) extensibility mechanisms to describe the needed additional semantic notation to model deployment details. The paper covers both the network and node levels. The proposed stereotypes and tagged values have enriched UML Deployment diagram. We have gathered those modeling elements in dedicated UML Profile for Distributed Ledger Deployment. We have applied the profile to model Deployment view of a renewable energy management system that uses R3 Corda framework. The system records information about inbound and outbound energy to/from renewable energy grid.
