Topical matter of power supply for today is effective increase in the reliability of power supply in medium voltage overhead power systems by sectioning of lines with switching devices, such as disconnectors, controlled disconnectors or sectioning points. In such schemes, the manual approach to emergency management is used. This kind of schemes can be used where the overhead power lines are. Protective device on the outgoing feeder is switched off as soon as damage occurs in any area. As a result, all consumers of the line lose power for a long time. Remotely operated disconnectors or remote controlled sectioning points can also be installed instead of manual line disconnectors. This process of damage localization differs only in that all switching operations are performed remotely. Decision on switching is made by the dispatcher, constant communication with each controlled element of the network is necessary, otherwise it becomes virtually uncontrollable and the entire effect of remote control of disconnectors is eliminated.

With many types of trucks and shovels for hauling large volume of waste rocks to the dump sites and coal to the storages, the truck – shovel dispatching in Cao Son open pit coal mine is the operation which needs to be improved. At present, the combination between trucks and shovel is usually assigned at the beginning of shift and adjusted during the operation at the mine. The GPS tracking system are integrated into each truck to monitor the position in real time, but applying this information to find the best destination to send the truck to satisfy the production requirements and to minimize truck operating costs is still not used. This paper presents the estimation of the information system, data, the remaining problems of truck – shovel dispatching system, from that proposes the application of available information technology for increasing the efficiency of this activities at the mine.

The aim of the study is to reduce idle times of mining trucks and shovels in an open-pit coal mine. A heuristic algorithm for making dispatching decisions in conditions of dynamic allocation of trucks is developed. Priority parameters for choosing the shovel after the end-of-truck unloading are introduced. Also, an algorithm for searching for the optimal priority parameters to satisfy the required efficiency criterion is developed. This algorithm is based on a simulation model of a shovel-truck system. The proposed approach is applicable in terms of the group of shovels with a common dump point in various open-pit coal mines. The importance of this work lies in the fact that the proposed model takes into account the random factors related with the duration of loading and dumping, truck movement, repair of shovels and haul trucks, as well as the duration of periods between repairs.

Using simulation modeling, different management systems of the open pit mining equipment including non-dispatching, dispatching and blending solutions have been studied for the Sungun copper mine. Developed model has the capability of considering detailed features of both loading and hauling equipment. Productivity assessment scenarios have been established on the constructed model and the outputs revealed the noteworthy impact of the match factor of the trucks to the loaders on the production rate by over 40%. A dispatching simulation model with the objective function of minimizing truck waiting times have been developed and 7.8% improvement obtained by applying a flexible assignment of the trucks for the loaders compared to the fixed assignment system. Finally ore grade blending control unit has been introduced into the model. Getting the advantages of the newly added module it became possible to monitor the portion of material excavated from different operating benches and control truck dispatching rules for keeping the overall ore grade exactly at desired value.

W ostatnim etapie dodano do modelu system kontroli procesu mieszania rud o rozmaitej zawartości pierwiastka użytecznego.
