Vibrations of torsional systems with a local nonlinearity described by irrational functions

In the paper vibrations of mechanical systems torsionally deformed and having a local nonlinearity with a characteristic of a soft type are discussed. The nonlinearity is described by irrational functions and in the study the discrete-continuous models are applied. The numerical calculations are focused on the effect of the local nonlinearity on displacements and dynamic forces in the considered models.

In the paper vibrations of mechanical systems torsionally deformed are discussed using two-dimensional and one-dimensional models. After the presentation of basic equations for two-dimensional problems, the study is focussed on one-dimensional problems for discrete-continuous systems with a time-depending inertia.

The paper presents the analysis of vibrations of the discrete - continuous vibroinsulating system. The protected object is treated as a rigid body and the beam as a continuous body. Over-vibrations reduction of the object realize by magnetorheological fluid damper. The computational model described by differential equations using the class of generaized functions.
