The study presented in this article expands the knowledge base regarding the implementation of digital innovations and gamification in Central and Eastern European businesses and their potential positive influence on people management efficiency. Furthermore, there are highlights of the relationship between positive economic outcomes and the tendency to invest more in innovative strategies, as their effective implementation and execution might require certain financial and personnel resources. The findings and deductions expounded within this contribution emanate from an examination of a research specimen (n=1112 in 2020 and n=1109 in 2021) encompassing feedback acquired from managers of enterprises operating within the economic domain of Central and Eastern Europe. Based on the evaluation of the survey results, it can be argued that companies with positive economic results achieve higher values both in the indicator of utilizing as well as perceptions of the importance of implementing innovative tools in the near future.

Badanie przedstawione w niniejszym artykule poszerza bazę wiedzy na temat wdrażania innowacji cyfrowych i grywalizacji w przedsiębiorstwach Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej oraz ich potencjalnego pozytywnego wpływu na efektywność zarządzania ludźmi. Ponadto podkreślono związek między pozytywnymi wynikami ekonomicznymi a tendencją do inwestowania w innowacyjne strategie, ponieważ ich skuteczne wdrażanie i realizacja może wymagać pewnych zasobów finansowych i kadrowych. Ustalenia i wnioski przedstawione w niniejszym artykule wynikają z analizy próby badawczej (n=1112 w 2020 r. i n=1109 w 2021 r.) obejmującej informacje zwrotne uzyskane od menedżerów przedsiębiorstw działających w obszarze gospodarczym Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej. Na podstawie oceny wyników badania można stwierdzić, że firmy o pozytywnych wynikach ekonomicznych osiągają wyższe wartości zarówno we wskaźniku wykorzystania, jak i postrzegania znaczenia wdrażania innowacyjnych narzędzi w najbliższej przyszłości.

The article presents current issues regarding combined freight transport terminals (CFT terminals) in Germany, with particular attention to road/rail transport and the implementation of the latest technologies of rail/road handling of rolling stock in terminals. The brief description of the state of current knowledge about combined freight transport terminals in both organizational and technological aspects are introduced. Considerations are focused on the description of the development of selected facilities and trends in the field of terminal operations. Examples of currently implemented projects and best practices, especially the implementation of digital solutions, are presented.

The processes of globalisation, the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 epidemic, the continuing war in Ukraine, and constantly emerging new technological solutions require organisations to adapt to changes constantly. Meanwhile, implemented business process management (BPM) often fails to integrate processes and knowledge resources. The awareness of the IT systems’ role in management processes is still lacking. These premises influenced the implementation of the main research goal to identify the approach of Polish private and public enterprises and various industries to the BPM integration with knowledge management (MK) in the context of using new information technologies. The presented research results justify the usefulness of building relationships between the process and knowledge resources under dynamically changing conditions using IT systems. The diagnostic survey results confirmed the key importance of developing such BPM and MK elements as evidencebased decisions, strategic goals, measurement systems, databases, digital innovations, and IT use for data processing. The presented material can support managers of various organisation types in decision-making processes by fully understanding the IT systems’ role and potential in process and knowledge management. Also, the article’s implications are a source of guidelines, helping organisations to implement management systems based on modern technologies. The value of the publication is a wide range of respondents: 107 large, medium, small, and micro-enterprises operating in Poland. The article’s research results also concern economic activities such as production, logistics, transport, banking, insurance, IT, telecommunications/ media, public administration, healthcare/pharmaceuticals, consulting, energy, and construction.

Role of Indian pharmaceutical industry has been significant over the years. It's a leading nation for catering pharma and healthcare services across globe. The development, production, distribution and appropriate utilization of medicines, as well as the supportive functions of regulation, operational research, and training, all require the involvement of competent pharmaceutical professionals. Smart workforce can always contribute for better functioning of healthcare system in a country like India. Adoption of smart technologies by human resource could represent a new competitive advantage for pharma companies exhibiting smart pharma. The dynamic-consolidation, globalization, methodical developments, public policy, and competition-have pushed human resource leaders into new territory to address dynamic needs of pharma business. There exists a digital revamp in life sciences industries even following self-reliant India mission. This is a conceptual explorative research demonstrates future of smart Indian pharma, which is in a verge to become self-reliant. This study helps to focus on pharma workforce challenges such as performance management, compensation management, motivation, promotion, talent management, training and development with the help of AMO model comprising three main components such as ability, motivation, and opportunity. This would also alert both the clinical manufacturers and users resulting in designing personalized based better future of Indian pharma industry. This is an explorative study driven by secondary sources and tends to design prototype. Future Pharma would see the business link paraphernalia across development and dispersal by using better, more reliable larger volumes of data to revolutionize manufacturing.

Rewolucja, obejmująca inteligentne technologie, cyfrowe innowacje oraz zaawansowany postęp technologiczny wkracza we wszystkie sfery ludzkiego życia, a szybko rozwijająca się tzw. rozszerzona rzeczywistość, poprawiająca istniejącą rzeczywistość na lepiej przyswajalną, ewoluuje się z dnia na dzień. Tworzą się nowe typy interakcji między jednostką a społeczeństwem, radykalnie zmieniają się formy wzajemnego komunikowania się jednostek. Mogą one prowadzić do utraty części podmiotowości i sprawności intelektualnej. W prezentowanej pracy przedstawiono niektóre teoretyczne i praktyczne aspekty wpływu tych zjawisk na tożsamość jednostki oraz podkreślono konieczność uzyskania nowych kompetencji komunikacyjnych w procesie edukacji.

The revolution, embracing smart technologies, digital innovations and advanced technological progress, enters all spheres of human life and the rapidly growing, so-called augmented reality, improving existing reality in order to make it more comprehensible, evolves overnight. New types of interactions between the individual and society are created and the forms of mutual communication between individuals are radically changing. They can lead to the loss of some part of one’s subjectivity and mental performance. The paper presents some theoretical and practical aspects of the influence of these phenomena on personal identity and it also emphasizes the need to acquire new communication competences in the educational process.
