In this article there was made an effort - from the point of view of management - to explain the essence and characteristics of generation Y. The most important criterion identifying this generation, people born after 1980, is direct and permanent connection with digital technology, especially with the Internet. As presented analysis show, the best representatives of this generation are current students. Surveys, which were carried out on two universities in Warsaw and of which results were presented in the article seem to confirm that ascertaining.
