Współczesny człowiek żyje w świecie, w którym zaciera się granica między tym, co wirtualne a tym, co realne. Odnalezienie się w rzeczywistości, gdzie podstawowym zasobem jest informacja i dostęp do niej staje się wyzwaniem nie tylko dla cyfrowych tubylców – osób, dla których technologia stanowi naturalne środowisko życia, lecz także cyfrowych imigrantów permanentnie uczących się egzystencji w cyberrzeczywistości. W artykule została przedstawiona relacja między techniką a życiem człowieka ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zagrożeń i wyzwań związanych z funkcjonowaniem w cyberprzestrzeni. Przedstawiono również koncepcję cyfrowych tubylców i cyfrowych imigrantów, a także istotę kompetencji cyfrowych i wykluczenia cyfrowego jako elementu wykluczenia społecznego.

Contemporary people live in a world where the line between the virtual and the real is blurring. Finding their way in a reality where the primary resource is information and access to it is becoming a challenge not only for digital natives – people for whom technology is a natural habitat, but also digital immigrants who are permanently learning to exist in cyber reality. The article presents the relationship between technology and human life with a special focus on the risks and challenges of functioning in cyberspace. The concept of digital natives and digital immigrants is also presented, as well as the essence of digital competence and digital exclusion as an element of social exclusion.

The article addresses the problems related to the transport needs of seniors, including the potential role of ICT solutions in meeting these needs. It discusses the use of ICT by seniors, as well as their needs and expectations regarding the transport system. Attempt to assign the examples of ICT solutions, that might be helpful in more effective fulfilment of the seniors’ expectations concerning the desired features of transport system was undertaken. The influence of the implementation of ICT in transport system on the transport needs of seniors was discussed with the indication of the areas that will require taking additional measures and conducting further research.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba znalezienia podejścia ułatwiającego projektowanie/dostosowanie nowoczesnych technologii dla osób powyżej 65 roku życia. Do projektowania zdecydowano się wykorzystać język korzyści i systemy ekspertowe. W pierwszej części artykułu opisano statystyki związane z użytkowaniem Internetu przez osoby starsze na przestrzeni siedmiu lat. Drugą i trzecią część poświęcono przybliżeniu pojęcia systemów ekspertowych i języka korzyści. W kolejnej, czwartej część przedstawiono proponowane przez autorkę rozwiązanie, które ma na celu ułatwienie i zachęcenie osób starszych do korzystania z urządzeń mobilnych i Internetu.

The purpose of this article is to try to find an approach that facilitates the design / adaptation of modern technology to people over the age of 65. The design was decided to use benefits language and expert systems. The first part of the article describes the statistics related to the use of the Internet by older people over seven years. The second and third part was dedicated to approximating the concept of expert systems and benefits language. Another, fourth, presents the solution proposed by the author, which aims to facilitate and encourage older people to use mobile devices and the Internet.

Celem opracowania jest pokazanie głównych obszarów wykluczenia cyfrowego pracowników oraz ich wpływu na podejmowanie w organizacji skutecznych, prawidłowych decyzji, które mogą wpływać na podwyższanie jej konkurencyjności. W trakcie przeprowadzonych analiz starano się zweryfikować hipotezę badawczą o istotnym znaczeniu przejawów wykluczenia cyfrowego pracowników zarówno dla całej organizacji, jak i samych uczestników procesu podejmowania decyzji. Podstawową metodą badawczą, wykorzystaną w opracowaniu była prezentacja wyników przeprowadzonych wcześniej badań.

The aim of the study is to show the main areas of digital exclusion of employees and their impact on undertaking effective and correct decisions in the organization, which may affect the improvement of its competitiveness. In the course of the conducted analyzes, it was tried to verify the research hypothesis about the importance of the manifestations of the digital exclusion of employees both for the entire organization and the participants of the decision making process. The basic research method used in the study was the presentation of the results of previous research.
