Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie podstawowych zagadnień związanych z topologicznym podejściem do projektowania. Artykuł stanowi przegląd wybranych obiektów architektonicznych, które powstały z inspiracji matematyczną topologią. Tłem dla analizy jest krótki opis podstaw topologii oraz wpływ matematyki, komputera i kultury na inspiracje architektów. Trudno jest, bez wyraźnej deklaracji twórcy, jednoznaczne określić czy forma budynku została zaprojektowana z myślą o topologii matematycznej. Coraz więcej architektów wykorzystuje zagadnienia topologii na etapie projektowania budynku. Duży wpływ na podejście do projektowania w ostatnich dziesięcioleciach miał rozwój cyfrowych narzędzi projektowych. Pozwalają one na swobodne i ciągłe zniekształcanie formy projektowanego obiektu.

The aim of the article is to present the basic issues related to the topological approach to design. The article is a review of selected architectural objects inspired by mathematical topology. The background for the analysis is a brief description of the basics of topology and the influence of mathematics, computer and culture on the inspiration of architects. It is difficult, without the explicit declaration of the creator, to unequivocally determine whether the form of a building was designed with the mathematical topology in mind. More and more architects use topology issues at the building design stage. The development of digital design tools has had a large impact on the approach to design in recent decades. They allow for free and continuous deformation of the form of the designed object.

Searching for harmony between a built and natural environment requires, quoting the demand of the National AIA Convention from 2011, "an innovative approach towards planning, designing and building as well as an evolutionary or revolutionary approach towards practice, cooperation and partnership". It is possible by the Integrated Design Process (IDP) method, which involves clear specifying of: What (in the context of sustainable development), Who (in the context of team composition and cooperation between its members) and When (in the context of process stages completion) things should be done in the design process. The aim of the paper is to present: the method, basic principles of IDP implementation, co-operation in a team and crucial differences between IDP and the traditional design process, as well as an analysis of general rules to be observed by a design team.

Poszukiwanie harmonii pomiędzy środowiskiem zbudowanym a środowiskiem naturalnym, cytując postulat Narodowej Konwencji AIA z 2011, wymaga: innowacyjnego podejścia do planowania, projektowania i budowania, wraz z ewolucyjnym lub rewolucyjnym podejściem do praktyki, współpracy, partnerstwa. Metodą, która to umożliwia, jest Zintegrowany Proces Projektowy (ZPP), który polega na jasnym sprecyzowaniu: Co (w kontekście zrównoważonego rozwoju), Kto (w kontekście składu i współpracy zespołu) i Kiedy (w kontekście etapów realizacji procesu) ma wykonać w trakcie procesu projektowego. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie metody, podstawowych zasad wdrażania ZPP, współpracy w zespole i różnic pomiędzy ZPP a tradycyjnym procesem projektowym.

Idiphaso e-learning system - access to software tools for digital design

In our paper we present the INDIPHASO [1] e-learning system for the design of digital systems implemented using FPGAs or CPLDs. The system allows users to access remotely, from a computer connected to the Internet, developing boards based on programmable logic circuits and microcontrollers in order to implement their designs. The paper describes the way the users can access the software tools in order to perform the steps in a predefined or a custom design flow. The three described methods provide different levels of accessibility and possibility of design flow configuration.
