Analysis of development processes effectiveness using KPI

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to show the importance of measuring the effects of the execution of personnel processes within the framework of personnel function management in manufacturing enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: The development of the article required a critical analysis of the literature on the subject. A literature study of scientific publications, a survey, and face-to 16 face interviews were performed. Findings: Thanks to the realization of the survey it was found that, despite such high awareness of the importance and effectiveness of the use of KPIs, only less than 28% of the respondents declared the use of HR function measurements in a systematic way, and only 53% use only a few indicators, in an active way and not fully coordinated. Research limitations/implications: Future directions of activities will concern the realization of research in another research group (increased number of analyzed production and service enterprises) from the area of the southern part of Poland and the comparative analysis of obtained results. The limitation of the research may be the unwillingness of enterprises to cooperate. Practical implications: The results of the study indicate the possibility and at the same time recommend the implementation of KPIs for monitoring the effectiveness of development processes in enterprises. The obtained results will contribute to the implication of more KPIs and thus increase the level of effective management. Originality/value: Filling the research gap in the field of measuring the effects of personnel function with the use of selected KPIs. The study is addressed to the management staff of enterprises.

Artykuł jest próbą zarysowania relacji pomiędzy dwoma kluczowymi dla współczesnego projektowania urbanistycznego pojęciami: zasadą zrównoważonego rozwoju i rezyliencji miejskiej. Jakkolwiek różnica pomiędzy nimi jest dość oczywista, to z racji ich „zbieżności ideowej”, a także nieostrości obu pojęć zdają się one nakładać na siebie, zwłaszcza przy próbach zastosowania w praktyce. To może prowadzić do skutków odwrotnych od zamierzonych. Aby tego uniknąć, konieczne jest zachowanie holistycznej perspektywy i wykorzystanie podejścia systemowego dla wprowadzania w miastach zmian zgodnych z istotą zrównoważonego rozwoju.

This paper attempts to outline the relationship between two concepts that are key to contemporary urban design: the principle of sustainable development and urban resilience. Although the difference between them is quite obvious, due to their 'ideological convergence', as well as the vagueness of the two notions, they seem to overlap, especially when trying to apply them in practice, which may lead to counterproductive results. In order to avoid this, it is necessary to maintain a holistic perspective and use a systemic approach to introduce in cities changes that are in line with the essence of sustainable development.

W artykule omówiono rolę, jaką w kształtowaniu lokalnego kolorytu Szklarskiej Poręby odegrały kolejne kolonie artystyczne. Przedstawiono też specyfikę zespołów architektonicznourbanistycznych miasta oraz ich związek z historią i naturalnymi uwarunkowaniami tego obszaru. Poruszony został również temat aktywnego zapobiegania degradacji uformowanego przez stulecia charakteru tego miejsca. Studia rysunkowe i malarskie – plastyczna dokumentacja zespołów architektonicznourbanistycznych w plenerze – przedstawione zostały jako jeden ze sposobów poznawania takich zespołów oraz wzbogacania własnych umiejętności i możliwości projektowych.

The article discussed the role that the subsequent artistic colonies played in shaping the local colouring scheme of Szklarska Poręba. It also presents the specificity of architectural and urban complexes of the town and their relationships with the history and natural conditions of this area. The article also brought up the issue of active prevention of degradation of the character of this place which has been formed for centuries. Drawing and painting studies – artistic documentation of architectural and urban complexes in the open air – have been presented as one of the methods of getting to know these complexes and enriching own design skills and possibilities.

Tematyka poruszana w niniejszym artykule dotyczy kwestii związanych z sposobem określania przeznaczenia w miejscowych planach zagospodarowania przestrzennego nieruchomości gruntowych pod różnego rodzaju zabudowę, które niejednokrotnie jest przypisywane bez przeprowadzenia jakiejkolwiek racjonalnej analizy. Wskazana została tutaj konieczności oznaczania na mapach miejscowych planów zagospodarowania przestrzennego terenów o podwyższonym ryzyku wystąpienia zagrożeń naturalnych w postaci powodzi, potopień, osuwisk, trzęsień ziemi, tąpnięć itp. Przedstawiono argumenty potwierdzające konieczność przeprowadzania odpowiedniego rozpoznania geotechnicznego podłoża przeznaczonego pod zabudowę komercyjna komunikacyjną czy mieszkaniową wraz ze wskazaniem celowości podjęcia takich kroków oraz sposobu wykorzystania pozyskanych danych o kondycji podłoża gruntowego między innymi podczas szacowania wartości rynkowej nieruchomości, procesu projektowania rozwiązania konstrukcyjnego i architektonicznych najlepiej ograniczającego wpływ potencjalnych oddziaływań na konstrukcję, a także wskazano możliwość wykorzystania wyników badań do stworzenia bazy danych dla określonego obszaru.

In that paper we try to show all important aspect of soil condition and natural hazards that will be helpful to designed appropriate load-bearing capacity of subsoil that are used in The Land Development Plan in commercial way. That information help estimate the cost that should be spend by investor before starting to built the construction over that ground and in that area. The purpose for plots of land in the land development plan should take into consideration soil structure and geotechnical condition, dynamic environment influenced by both internally and externally imposed forces, types of stresses and strains to which the soil is subjected. There are important natural factors that have big influence on type of buildings foundation and all architecting construction. Geotechnical experts should assist in the development processes that will result in economic solutions. Planning and building authorities should require geotechnical hazard reports as part of submissions for approval of subdivisions or development plans; and such reports should include evaluations of the hazards to various structures and recommendations on the most suitable design and construction practices to ensure economic long-term performance. All of this information give estimators possibility to calculate market value of plot use the residual method which base of land market value and take into consideration the cost of reinforced the weak land by comparison with market value of land in good geotechnical condition.
