The aim of this study was to determine the influence of social media on students’ awareness of responsible behaviour during the COVID-19 pandemic. The field study was carried out with a sample of 726 students from Northern Border University. Data were collected from electronically retrieved questionnaires via various communication channels and analysed using hierarchical linear regression. The study found a relationship between the use of social media sites and awareness among students, affected by age differences. With the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, universities face the challenge of ensuring precautionary guidelines to prevent the virus are followed while educating their students, and social media plays a significant role in disseminating this information. Therefore, studying how social media helps develop students’ awareness can contribute to addressing some of the problems faced by decisionmakers in Saudi universities.

Globalization and Industrial revolution 4.0 impact increased to the businesses in general and agricultural high-tech enterprises in particular. Businesses focus on applying high technology to improve efficiency in production, business activities and create a sustainable competitive advantage for businesses. Therefore, the human factor, especially the development of high-quality human resources for high-tech agricultural enterprises, should be concerned and play a decisive role. This paper focuses on analysing the current situation of developing high-quality human resources through Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development and Compensation of enterprises. The results show that the above activities still have many limitations, especially Recruitment, Selection and Compensation. From there, the author proposes some suggestions to improve the development of quality human resources of high-tech agricultural enterprises in Vietnam.

The obsolesce and decay of rail transport infrastructure linking major seaports Cities to hinterland cargo origin and destination centers serviced via the seaports and the total lack of rail infrastructure connection between some hub seaports and the hinterland cargo centers in Nigeria induces enormous economic setback. Most rail routes from seaports to the inland container depots (ICDs) in all the geopolitical zones of the Country are currently inoperable. Government’s recent attempt to develop and make operable the rail routes is faced with funding challenges necessitating the need for a Public Private Partnership (PPP) approach in which government provides regulation and enablement while private sector operators fund the projects. This study was aimed at providing economic justification for private sector investment in developing, revitalizing and making operable, the rail-freight-corridors between hub-seaports and inland container depots in Nigeria. It estimated the operator-benefits and profitability potentials of investment in each of the ten rail-freight-corridors consisting of existing but inoperable and proposed rail routes from Lagos, Port-Harcourt/Onne, Warri and Calabar seaports to the Inland container depots in different geopolitical regions of Nigeria. Secondary data on the import and export (cargo generation) capacities of each of the ICD regions to and from the respectively connected hub-seaport were obtained from the Nigerian ports authority statistical report covering a period of two years (2018-2019) based upon which the annual expected revenue earnings of the operators (investment) were estimated as a product of the total annual TEU handled by each route and the price of delivering per TEU from the seaport to the ICD region. The cost of investment in developing and operating each rail-freight-corridor as determined in previous studies for the Nigerian Shippers Council for the same period were also obtained. Benefit-Cost-Ratio (BCR) and Net Present Value (NPV) tools were used to estimate the operator-benefits and profitability potentials of each rail route within the period using 10% interest rate. It was found that six of the rail routes have BCR > 1; and NPV > 0; implying higher operator-benefits over costs within the period. The rail-routes from Lagos seaport to Gombe and Bauchi; Warri seaport to Aba; and Calabar seaport to Kano have BCR < 1; and NPV < 0; implying higher operator-costs over benefits and unprofitability of the routes within the first two years of service delivery. It was recommended that the PPP terms for rail freight corridors with BCR < 1 and NPV < 0, should have a higher contract period than the other routes to enable the private investor have a higher payback period to recoup the cost of investment and earn profit.

The paper presents the concept of homo sustinens which is an alternative to the still commonly accepted attitude of homo economicus. Adoption of the new concept by the economists should become a strategic objective of environmental education. The author has additionally proposed to include on a permanent basis the category of sustainable development to the education programmes.

W danym artykule są rozpatrywane problemy występujące przy projektowaniu termometrów szumowych. Do nich należą: niski poziom sygnału uzytecznego, problemy doboru komponentów niskoszumowych, zapewnienie dostatecznej odporności na zakłócenia. Przedstawiono ogólne podejście do analizy problemów w termometrii szumowej.

The problems considered in article are necessary for solving the design of the noise thermometer: the noise nature and the low level of a useful signal, problem of small noise components, noise proof feature maintenance. To be ensured temperature sensitivity 0,1 K it is necesary to achieve ten pV sensitivity. We have take into account parameters of an entrance circuit, such as the amplifier (one or two-channel) and noise parameters of operational amplifiers for a correct choice of the operational amplifier. There are considered the constructive works to maintenance the noise thermometer stability, composed into the complex approach.
