The article is about the economic aspects that influence the process of housing design. The most important thing in relationship between architects and developers is to achieve maximum profit. Usually the architects lower the costs of investment by using cheaper materials and constructions, which leads to reduction of quality of usable floor area (smaller rooms, corridors and staircases). This way of thinking shows that modern housing in Poland refers to high-rise blocks of prefabricated sections, so the question is how the housing will look like in the future.
