The paper presents an analysis of selected design solutions for spur gears with reduced weight, in which the results obtained are compared to a solid gear without modifications. The reduction of the weight of the gears is of particular importance, among others in the automotive and aviation industries, where it reduces energy consumption, and thus CO2 emissions. It is also important to remember to maintain the required strength parameters when reducing the mass of the gear. This article focuses on the analysis of deformation and stress due to a given load on the considered weight-reduced gears. The values of the obtained static analysis results of the reduced-weight gears were also compared to the base gear.

The purpose of this paper is to present the social and psychological aspects of the impact of architecture of a hospital on all its users. The authors analyse the impact of factors shaping the architectural space of a hospital on the behaviour of patients and on the mutual relations between all the participants of the hospitalisation process. The hospital space has been presented from the point of view of the psychophysical needs of a patient, from the point of view of the medical staff and the visitors. The analysis includes the assessment of the quality of architectural space of a hospital as a place intended for the medical treatment, which is to facilitate the recovery of the patient and fast response of the staff in emergency situations.

Drogę wojewódzką na odcinku Kielce – Łopuszno rozbudowano z zastosowaniem rozwiązań mających na celu poprawę bezpieczeństwa ruchu. W szczególności przebudowano skrzyżowania na ronda, w terenie zabudowanym wybudowano chodniki, wyspy segregujące ruch, pasy do skrętów w lewo, zatoki autobusowe i miejsca parkingowe. Autor przeprowadził analizę wypadków drogowych i kolizji. Analiza wykazała, że istotnie zmniejszyła się liczba wypadków i kolizji, spadła liczba ofiar wypadków, a najbardziej zmniejszyła się liczba zabitych.

Regional road between Kielce and Łopuszno was reconstructed with the use of measures aimed at improving of traffic safety. In particular, the crossroads were rebuilt into roundabouts, traffic segregating islands, left turn lanes, bus-bays and parking lots were constructed in build-up areas. The author conducted an analysis of road accidents and collisions. The analysis has shown that the number of accidents and collisions, as well as number casualties, has decreased significantly, and the number of fatalities decreased most.

Obecnie w Pradze budowana jest północna część obwodnicy miasta. Projekt ten jest znany pod nazwą kompleks tunelowy Blanka, a w jego skład wchodzą liczne budowle tunelowe. Do kompleksu zaliczany jest również nowy most przez Wełtawę, który będzie służył komunikacji tramwajowej, samochodowej oraz pieszej. Po jego ukończeniu możliwa będzie rozbiórka istniejącego mostu tramwajowego, który jest eksploatowany od czasu ostatniej przebudowy mostu Barykadników.

The new Troja Bridge in Prague represents a significant original hybrid structure crossing the Vltava River. The network steel arch with the deck made of prestressed concrete forms the main span of the bridge 200.4 m long. The side span made of prestressed concrete is about 40 m long. The construction was started by incremental launching of the bridge deck using temporary supports in the river. After casting of the slab of the bridge, the arch was assembled. The final stage will be the installation and pre-stressing of the hangers. Then, the temporary supports will be removed and the bridge will be completed.

Scharakteryzowano podstawowe parametry techniczne pociągów i zespołów trakcyjnych do obsługi połączeń aglomeracyjnych i międzyaglomeracyjnych, zestawianych z klasycznych składów wagonowych lub składów zespolonych.

Development of the rolling stock designed for urban rail services in Poland and in Europe, as well as, engineering solutions for the rolling stock intended for inter-agglomeration services are presented. Basic technical parameters of trains and multiple unit sets for urban and inter-agglomeration services composed of conventional rake of coaches or combined train sets are presented.

The paper deals with the shaping atria roofing structures mostly based on strut and tie structures combined with pneumatic systems. Some interesting objects are shown and discussed, as examples of challenging structural designs. A simple method of reverse shaping structure is mentioned, as an easy method for architects and engineers of form-finding, the minimum weight roofing structures.

Zmieniające się na przestrzeni wieków tendencje w projektowaniu, technologie stosowanych materiałów budowlanych, a także funkcjonalne wykorzystanie nabrzeży przyczyniły się do powstania mozaiki różnorodnych typów konstrukcji.

The article presents the most numerous and the most varied group of hydro-technical constructions of the Wroclae Water Node; among them are central town embankments and Oder boulevards constructions. The design tendencies, changing throughout centuries, construction materials technologies and functional use of the embankments contributed to creation of a mosaic of different constructions.

Analiza prezentuje rozwiązania konstrukcyjne przekładni planetarnej o uproszczonej technologii wykonania. W pracy rozważano tylko zewnętrzny rodzaj zazębienia kół walcowych o zębach ewolwentowych skośnych. Zastosowano satelity o identycznej geometrii, które współpracują z kołem centralnym i słonecznym o różnej ilości zębów, dzięki czemu można je wykonać w 3 pakietach jako jedno koło zębate. Dodatkowemu uproszczeniu ulega również konstrukcja korpusu, który spełnia jednocześnie rolę jarzma, wykonanego jako jednolity odlew. Dzięki uproszczeniu technologii można obniżyć koszty produkcji omawianej przekładni. Obliczenia prezentują możliwości rozwiązania dla dwóch i trzech satelitów. Zakres zastosowań tego typu przekładni to układy napędowe w robotach lub przemyśle transportowym.

Analysispresents construction of planetary gear with simplifying technology. It was decided to consider conception of the external helical wheels. The satellite wheels have the same geometry and co-operate with sun gear and central gear with different number of teeth, thanks to that wells can be manufactured in a 3 pockets as a uniform gear wheel. Additional simplifications deal the planet carrier which is cast-alloy housing of the planetary speed reducer. Thanks to simplifying of manufacturing technology the costs of production can be lower. The selection of optimal geometrical parameters makes it possible to create a planetary gear with 2 or 3 satellites. Presented construction is more economical, so it can be used in many industrial machines like robots or transport machinery.

Among signifficant factors influencing harmfully mechanical seals, are also vibration and dynamic loads. The aim of the intended research is to find how those factors parameters (amplitude and frequency), influence critical points that appeare immediately, before the failure. This will constitute the starting poin in determining reliability of mechanical seals. There was also carried out the analysis of the conditions and parameters under the model testing should be performed for the selected pairs of seal materials.
