The article presents a simplified methodology for testing Denso common rail electromagnetic injectors, which was based on an adjustment of idling fuel dosage. In order to determine the parameters significantly affecting this process, the design of experiments technique (DoE) was applied. Due to the non-linear course of the rates characteristics obtained on the diagnostic test bench, the trivalent fractional plan was used. Analysis of computational data has shown that the generated parabolic model is well suited to the actual measurement results, as the injector dosage is slightly out of projected values. The calculations were carried out in the STATISTICA computer program, which takes into account the specificity of the experimental theory methods and is one of the most universal tools available on the market. Innovation is the effective implementation of the proposed methodology in the repair process, which has not been taken into account in this regard yet.

An optimization study using the design of experiment technique is described, in which the surface profile height of a freeform surface, determined in coordinate measurements, is the response variable. The control factors are coordinate sampling parameters, i.e. the sampling grid size and the measuring tip diameter. As a result of the research, an optimal combination of these parameters was found for surface mapping with acceptable measurement uncertainty. The presented study is the first stage of optimization of machining error correction for the freeform surface and was intended to take into account mechanical-geometric filtration of surface irregularities caused by these geometrical parameters. The tests were carried out on a freeform workpiece milled with specific machining parameters, Ra of the surface roughness was 1.62 μm. The search for the optimal combination of parameters was conducted using Statistica software.

Głównym, celem pracy było opanowanie technik planowania eksperymentu na przykładzie poszukiwania optymalnych parametrów obróbki cieplnej wybranych stopów. Materiałem badań był stop miedzi chromowej Cu-0,81%Cr. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań tego stopu określono, z wykorzystaniem, metody Tagueh'iego, parametry obróbki cieplnej gwarantujące uzyskanie wymaganej twardości w wyrobach z tego stopu.

The main objective of the work was to gain practical knowledge in utilizing the design of experiment (DoE) technique. Optimization of heat treatment for chosen alloys was an example of practical implementation of DoE methodology. The Cu-0.81%Cr alloy was the subject of investigation. In the course of investigation, the optimal heat treatment parameters for Cu-0.81%Cr alloy have been found using Taguchi technique, which guarantee achievement of required hardness level.
