Celem artykułu jest określenie, jaką rolę odgrywają decyzje o uwarunkowaniach środowiskowych w rozwoju regionalnym w zakresie dopuszczalności realizacji celów drogowych oraz jak kształtował się zakres podejmowanych inwestycji drogowych. Zostanie on zweryfikowany poprzez dokonanie analizy na podstawie wskaźnika liczby wydanych decyzji.

The procedure of environmental influence evaluation (whose key step is to issue a decision on environmental conditions) is one of the most significant tools for environmental management and simultaneously implementing the principle of balanced development. The aim of this article is to present the role of the decisions on the environmental conditions in the regional development in the case of the admissibility of the implementation of the road objectives and what – with an analysis based on the index number of the decisions – was the range of the road investments. The article analysed the decisions issued in the environmental conditions in the years 2008-2010 in terms of investments concerning the national roads.
