In this paper we examine the influence of different types of encryption and authentication on the quality of transmitted data in the high-performance WSN based on Imote2. The performance has been tested in the wireless sensor network using Collection Tree Protocol. The examined types and modes of encryption are provided by the hardware of used sensor platforms Intelmote2 and its integrated radio chip CC2420. The presented results can be helpful to choose which cryptographic modules should be implemented according to the acceptable packet loss.

The article presents a scheme of efficient geodata authentication, based on digital signature and hash chaining. The proposal is dedicated to the Web GIS systems, for authentication of geographical data send by web mapping services as an answer to user requests. Server responses could be generated for example during WMS or WFS communication session.

W artykule przedstawiono wydajny schemat uwierzytelniania danych geograficznych. Schemat oparty jest na podpisie cyfrowym i łańcuchowaniu skrótów. Jest on dedykowany dla internetowych systemów GIS, umożliwiając uwierzytelnianie danych geograficznych przesyłanych z internetowych serwisów mapowych w odpowiedzi na zapytania klienta. Odpowiedzi serwera mogą być generowane np. podczas sesji WMS lub WFS.
