Przedstawiając kompleksowo problem oceny zagrożenia korozją zbrojenia konstrukcji żelbetowych w pierwszej części pracy omówiono przyczyny degradacji konstrukcji, podstawy oceny jej trwałości, a także badania oceniające właściwości ochronne betonu, w tym sposoby pobierania materiału, określenie zasięgu karbonatyzacji i stężenia chlorków. W drugiej części scharakteryzowano proces korozji stali zbrojeniowej oraz elektrochemiczne metody pomiarowe i sposoby oceny szybkości korozji zbrojenia w betonie. Przedstawiono metodykę oceny zagrożenia korozyjnego żelbetu: sprzęt diagnostyczny, planowanie badań konstrukcji oraz kryteria oceny wyników badań.

Beginning a comprehensive presentation of the subject of evaluation of the danger of corrosion to the reinforcement of reinforced concrete structures, an account was given in the first part of this work of the causes of degradation of a structure, the basis for assessment of its durability, and tests to evaluate the protective properties of concrete, including methods for taking material samples and determination of the extent of carbonation and the concentration of chlorides. In this second part of the work, a description is given of the process of corrosion of reinforcing steel, electrochemical methods of measurement, and ways of evaluating the rate of corrosion of the reinforcement within concrete. Methodology is given for evaluating the danger of corrosion to reinforced concrete: diagnostic equipment, planning of structural testing, and criteria for evaluating the test results.
