Health monitoring of composite car roof failure under effect of different impact velocity

During this work, the roof of the car was used as an engineering application to study and monitor the occurrence of failures under the influence of various loads. The shells are made of multilayer composite materials using epoxy resin reinforced with carbon fiber and aluminium oxide granules as reinforcing materials to increase the impact resistance that vehicles may be exposed to while driving, in addition to other loads and conditions such as vibration and constant exposure to moisture and sunlight. The simulation program was used the finite elements method through software Abaqus program in addition to the program MATLAB v.2020a to process the data obtained from the method that used in this study. The results showed that the specified failure criteria work well for predicting the overall structural response such as strain, stress, maximum force and displacement. The losses of energy of impact collision increase as an increase in impact velocity. The dissipation of energy which depend on the stress and strain distribution during elastic deformations. The effect of thickness of the lamina plays an important role in health monitoring the structure.

Procesy z wykorzystaniem lasera jako źródła ciepła są coraz powszechniej stosowane w przemyśle motoryzacyjnym w kraju i na świecie. Z tego powodu szczegółowo zaprezentowano stosowaną w zakładzie Volkswagena w Poznaniu technologię lutowania laserowego dachu samochodu Caddy. Dokładnie omówiono i zilustrowano zdjęciami urządzenia i materiały wykorzystywane w tym procesie. Urządzeniami tymi są: źródło promieniowania laserowego, głowica lutująca, kabina laserowa wraz z odpowiednimi zabezpieczeniami oraz technika pozycjonowania części. Materiałem dodatkowym jest drut miedziany CuSi3. Dodatkowo przedstawiono samo złącze wraz z wynikami procesu lutowania (zdjęcia makroskopowe złącza). Zestawiono ze sobą zalety i wady procesu lutowania laserowego.

The processes using laser as source of heat are more and more popular in motorisation industry both in Poland and around the world. Therefore, this research will thoroughly present the technique of soldering the roof of Caddy as it is used in Volkswagen Poznań. The devices and materials used in this process will be described here and illustrated with the photographs. The devices are: the source of laser radiation, soldering head, laser cabin with proper protection and the technique of parts' positioning. The additional material is the copper wire CuSi3. Moreover, the joint will also be presented together with the results of soldering process (the photos of transverse cut through the join). In the final part of this research the adventages and disadvantages of soldering process will be put together.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki eksperymentalnej analizy modalnej kompozytowego dachu do Poloneza Kombi. Wyznaczono częstości drgań własnych konstrukcji i związane z nimi postacie oraz obliczono współczynnik tłumienia uogólnionego. W skrócie opisano przygotowywanie stanowiska pomiarowego oraz sam proces przeprowadzania pomiarów.

This paper presents results of experimental modal analysis of composit roof plate of Polonez Kombi. The eigenfrequencies of the body and consisted with them forms were estimated, and damping coefficient was counted. Additionally the preparing of researching place and process was described.
