In this paper, we propose a method for calculating steady-state probabilities of the G/G/1/m and M/G/1/m queueing systems with service times changes depending of the number of customers in the system. The method is based on the use of fictitious phases and hyperexponential approximations with parameters of the paradoxical and complex type. A change in the service mode can only occur at the moment the service is started. We verified the obtained numerical results using the potential method and simulation models, constructed by means of GPSS World.

W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję wykorzystania teorii masowej obsługi do badania i usprawnienia systemu zabezpieczenia logistycznego sytuacji kryzysowych w kontekście gorących potrzeb ludności poszkodowanej. Najważniejszym kryterium funkcjonowania takiego sytemu jest prakseologiczny wymóg natychmiastowej obsługi zgłaszających się osób zgodnie z ich elementarnymi potrzebami. Praktycznie oznacza to postulat minimalizacji długości kolejki osób oczekujących na określone świadczenia (obsługę). W tym celu w modelowym systemie zostały wyodrębnione 4 dziedzinowe systemy robocze i nadrzędny system kierowania. Mechanizm funkcjonowania kryzysowego systemu masowej obsługi zilustrowano na przykładzie wybranego Systemu Ratownictwa Medycznego.

The paper presents the concept of the use of mass service theory to investigate and improve the logistic emergency response system in the context of the hot needs of the affected population. The most important criterion for the functioning of such a system is the praxeological requirement for the immediate handling of the respondents according to their basic needs. Practically, this means the postulate of minimizing queue length of people waiting for certain benefits (service). For this purpose, the four system work systems and the parent steering system were separated in the model system. The operation mechanism of the mass-service crisis system is illustrated by the example of the selected Medical Rescue System

W artykule przedstawiono ujęcie długości kolejek na skrzyżowaniach z sygnalizacją świetlną w modelu Webstera (1958) oraz w polskiej metodzie obliczania przepustowości (2004). Zaprezentowano także wyniki porównania tych formuł.

The article includes a review of queue length on two methods - the Webster's model (1958) and Polish method of capacity calculation (2004). Results of comparison these formulas was described too.
