This paper presents a prototype installation for testing scaffoldings with the use of a wireless sensor network. This installation made it possible to eliminate most of the time-consuming wiring, which has simplified and shortened the cycle of scaffolding research in the Laboratory of Temporary Structures, Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining. The wireless sensor was built in a star topology with three wireless modules (Nodes) around a single coordinator (Gateway). SureCross DX80 Banner Engineering (USA) system was used to build the modules.
