—The problem of minimizing the maximum delivery times while scheduling jobs on the single processor is a classical combinatorial optimization problem. This problem is denoted by 1|rj,qj|Cmax has many applications, and it is NP-hard in strong sense. The goal of this paper is to propose a new 3/2approximation algorithm, which runs in O(n log n) time. We proved that the bound of 3/2 is tight. To check the efficiency of the algorithm we tested it on random generated problems of up to 5000 jobs.

Recent years have seen a dynamic growth of ecommerce. This links to technological developments, an increase in the number of people who have access to and actively use the Internet, and the use of mobile devices. The aim of the paper is to present the results of a questionnaire survey of the factors behind the development of e-commerce services. In an analysis of the factors behind the development of e-commerce services, note should be made of the customer’s needs which will be the core of their opinions. The paper analyses factors of development of e-commerce services such as: frequency of internet shopping, logistic aspects of e-commerce services, and the criteria for the evaluation of quality of e-commerce services based on customer satisfaction. The five aspects of logistics in e-commerce taken into consideration included reliability of the supply, completeness of the supply, shipping price, delivery time, and the choice of courier company. Besides, the paper defines the interdependence between the frequency of internet shopping and the logistic aspects of e-commerce. A hierarchy is also established of the degree of satisfaction as regards the quality criteria of e-commerce services. The analysis covers data from a questionnaire survey of 100 customers using ecommerce in Poland. The respondents were customers using e-commerce services aged between 20 and 24. The questionnaire was based on a five-point Likert-type scale of between 1 and 5. The survey was qualitative and nationwide. The analysis was done using the Statistica 10 software. The Pearson correlation was chosen from amongst the methods available to determine the impact between the surveyed variables. Firms that provide e-commerce services aim to fulfil the ever increasing needs and expectations of their customers. They attach a lot of importance to the quality of customer service which is demonstrated by the high scores awarded by the respondents.

W artykule opisano próbę usprawnienia logistyki dystrybucji w przedsiębiorstwie branży kurierskiej, która umożliwiłaby skrócenie czasu oraz zredukowanie kosztów doręczenia przesyłek. Badania prowadzono na przełomie roku 2015/2016. Rozdział pierwszy zawiera wprowadzenie. Rozdział drugi zawiera analizę literatury i opis metod użytych w projekcie. Trzeci rozdział poświęcony jest analizie procesu przemieszczania przesyłek i określeniu jego etapów krytycznych. W tym rozdziale zaprezentowano także opracowaną propozycję rozwiązania usprawniającego, oraz porównanie jego wyników z sytuacją w firmie. Zbadano także ryzyko wystąpienia błędów podczas procesu wdrożenia rozwiązania. Ostatni rozdział zawiera podsumowanie pracy oraz wnioski. Analizowanym przedsiębiorstwem jest firma kurierska, znajdująca się w pierwszej dziesiątce największych firm tej branży w Polsce. Danymi wejściowymi do pracy są listy doręczeń kuriera tego przedsiębiorstwa z przeciągu tygodnia roboczego.

The purpose of this paper is an attempt to elaborate an improvement of the distribution logistics subsystem, which would provide decrease of delivery time and cost reduction. Research conducted at the turn of the year 2015/2016. The first chapter contains introduction. The second chapter contains literature analysis and description of method used during work on project. The third chapter is about analysis of parcels transportation process and selection of it’s critical stages. This part of chapter includes presentation of suggested improvement and comparisson of this solution and situation found in enterprise. It also contains the analysis of the risk of threats to the implementation process. In the last chapter there are summary and conclusions. The analyzed organization is a courier company, which is placed in top ten companies of polish courier services market. The project in this thesis is based on input data, which is courier delivery lists among the working week.
