Przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjne, aby utrzymać swoją pozycję na rynku globalnym, coraz częściej realizują wiele zleceń (projektów) jednocześnie. Zarządzanie portfelem projektów jest działalnością złożoną i wymusza na przedsiębiorstwach zastosowanie innowacyjnego podejścia do zarządzania swoją działalnością. Jednym z takich sposobów może być zastosowanie metody łańcucha krytycznego, która umożliwia skuteczniejsze realizowanie projektów w środowisku wieloprojektowym, dzięki wprowadzonym buforom czasu i werbla. Metodę tą zaimplementowano w jednym z opolskich przedsiębiorstw, które realizuje zlecenia produkcyjno-usługowe w zakresie kompleksowego projektowania i wdrażania automatyki przemysłowej oraz wykonywania skomplikowanych instalacji elektrycznych dla różnego rodzaju budynków przemysłowych. Dzięki wdrożonej metodzie łańcucha krytycznego przedsiębiorstwo uzyskało znaczące korzyści finansowe i organizacyjne.

The manufacturing enterprises increasingly realize many orders (projects) at the same time in order to maintain their position in the global market. Project portfolio management is a complex activity and requires to adopt an innovative approach to managing business. One such method is the critical chain project management (CCPM), which allows for more efficient projects execution in a multi-project environment by introducing time and drum buffers. This method has been implemented in one of the companies in Opole Voivodeship, which performs production and service orders for complex design and implementation of industrial automation and execution of complex electrical installations for various types of industrial buildings. The implementation of the critical chain method has allowed the enterprise significant financial and organizational benefits.

The large variability of internal and external factors is a serious problem hampering production management. To meet the standards and at the same time ensure the viability of production it is necessary to quickly respond to problems that arise during production processes, and to adequately correct plans. Measures taken in the management of madetoorder production are frequently single and unique, and therefore resemble the features of project management. The paper discusses the project management method derived from the theory of constraints – CCPM. The paper describes an original algorithm for CCPM implementation and presents the results of success CCPM implementation in a company from the Wielkopolska region. The implementation of CCPM resulted in improved timeliness of order delivery, improved communication and standardization of processes related to order delivery.
