The article deals with the equivalent courses for military rank in the Slovak Armed Forces. The aim of the article is to introduce the participation of Slovak, Czech, Polish and Hungarian soldiers in The Battalion Commander Course, which refers to the knowledge applicable and not applicable to the Slovak and Czech armed forces. The main part of this course deals with the developing leadership of the commanders, the goal is to train and educate the commanders, to set a personal example and to prepare the commanders for the deployement in wide scale of operations.

W artykule przedstawiono szkolenia i kursy organizowane w Słowackich Siłach Zbrojnych, uprawniające do uzyskania poszczególnych stopni wojskowych. Omówiono szkolenie słowackich, czeskich, polskich i węgierskich żołnierzy na dowódcę batalionu (Battalion Commander Course) oraz wskazano różnice w zakresach wiedzy przekazywanej tym żołnierzom. W Słowackich Siłach Zbrojnych nacisk jest kładziony na rozwijanie umiejętności przywódczych dowódców, a także na takie wyszkolenie i edukację, by żołnierze stanowili przykład dla innych oraz byli przygotowani do udziału w różnego rodzaju operacjach.

Czas pandemii Covid19 zmusił nas do zintensyfikowania wysiłków związanych z kształceniem online.

A few years ago, none of us imagined that certain subjects could be taught online. Meanwhile, for the last three semesters, each of us had to face it, struggling with the stress of the mysterious listener and the sight of the wall in front of our eyes. We have found that preparing online classes is more demanding. However, out of love for Mathematics during the pandemic, we took our time and showed great commitment. In the article it is presented the distance education methods implemented by us along with examples together with the tools we used for this. The discussed methods of teaching were selected individually for the groups. The choice of the method depended on the year of study, i.e. whether we were teaching first-year or higher-year students, as well as the language in which the students study. From our point of view, it might be said that during the pandemic, the quality of teaching has increased due to the number and variety of methods that were used to liven up the atmosphere, maintain motivation and pace, as well as create interactions between students who are separated from each other and us. However, the question remains "has the quality of learning also increased?". We will get the answer soon, when we go back to universities.

Ship navigation safety in restricted water areas is of great concern to crew members, because ships sailing in close proximity to banks are significantly affected by the so-called ship-bank interaction. The purpose of this paper is to apply the optimal control theory to help helmsmen adjust ships’ course and maintain the target course in restricted waters. To achieve this objective, the motion of a very large crude carrier (VLCC) close to a bank is modeled with the linear equations of manoeuvring and the influence of bank effect on the ship hydrodynamic force is considered in the model. State-space framework is cast in a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system, where the offset-free model predictive control (MPC) is designed for course following and the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) is used for course keeping. Simulation results show that the control methods effectively work in ship course following and course keeping with varying ship-bank distances and water depths. The advantage of adopting speed variation as the second control input is obvious.

The first objective of the research was to analyse employers' expectations with a focus on employers whose companies are related to the smart specialisations of the region of Silesia. The second objective of the research was to confirm the need for and development of the conceptual model of regional integration network (information network) of the system of education, higher education and companies, the region's authorities... in order to shape the supply of and demand for course-specific education; its priority would be to develop human resources for the regional industry in the perspective of economic changes. The hypothesis that "The creation of integration network of information for improving the effectiveness of development of major studies in higher education is desired by system of education, higher education, companies and public authorities" was confirmed on the basis of secondary and primary data.

6 czerwca br. otwarto do ruchu ostatni fragment autostrady A2 pomiędzy Warszawą a Łodzią. Odcinek C, bo o nim mowa, nie był wówczas w pełni ukończony, jednak dzięki specustawie drogowej określającej tzw. przejezdność, kierowcy, w tym kibice jadący na Mistrzostwa Europy w piłce nożnej, mogli poruszać się na całej długości A2 od Strykowa do Konotopa. Odcinek ten, podobnie jak odcinek A, który również nie był ukończony w tym czasie, powinien być, zgodnie z kontraktem, gotowy w październiku br.

A satellite compas is a new navigational aid which so far has not been dealt with in detail in the Polish professional publications. The paper makes a review of this kind of compass, their measuring propeties and practical aspects of use aboard floating vessels.

Autor artykułu w połowie lat 1990-ch, stojąc na czele grupy inicjatywnej złożonej z kolegów profesorów oraz asystentów Instytutu Architektury Krajobrazu na Wydziale Architektury w Politechnice Krakowskiej, działającego w ramach kierunku Architektura i Urbanistyka, wszczął był starania o utworzenie w tejże Uczelni, na tym samym Wydziale - kierunku Architektura Krajobrazu. Po bardzo trudnych latach starań, zostały one uwieńczone pełnym powodzeniem - wnioskowany i przygotowywany kierunek Architektura Krajobrazu stał się faktem i z każdym rokiem nabiera wyższej jakości. Ważnym i trudnym etapem na tym polu było ubieganie się - i po znacznych trudach uzyskanie - prawa do nadawania absolwentom tytułu zawodowego: magister inżynier architektury krajobrazu. Kolejnym wielkim krokiem w doskonaleniu młodego kierunku stało się dążenie do jego międzynarodowej akredytacji. Po kolejnej serii poważnych starań i zabiegów, w ostatnich dniach sukces ten został osiągnięty. Kierunek Architektura Krajobrazu na Wydziale Architektury w Politechnice Krakowskiej uzyskał międzynarodową akredytację ze strony EFLA - European Foundation for Landscape Architects, czyli Europejskiej Fundacji Architektury Krajobrazu.

Author of the article, in the middle of the 90', managing a initiating group composed of friends, professors and assistants of IAK on Department of Architecture at Cracow University of Technology, operating within course of Architecture and Urban Design, has started efforts to create on the CUT, on the same Department - course of Landscape Architecture. After very difficult years of effort, it was crowned with success - the inferred and prepared course of Landscape Architecture has become a fact and every year it presents higher quality. The important and difficult phase was competing - after many difficulties - to right of awarding by the professional title: MSc in Landcsape Architecture. The next step in improvement of the young course was aspiration of the international accreditaion. After next number of efforts, the success was achieved few day ago. The course of Landscape Architecture at Department of Architecture on CUT has obtained international accreditation from EFLA - European Foundation for Landscape Architects.

To comply with the state of art science and engineering requirements in educational processes, the structure of the training course has been adopted to the remote teaching (e-learning).

Prezentowana aplikacja zawiera objaśnienia i podpowiedzi, które aktywizują użytkownika podczas poznawania podstaw projektowania przestrzennego. Dzięki elementom multimedialnych animacji charakteryzuje się dynamizmem w zapoznawaniu użytkownika z poszczególnymi procedurami oraz poleceniami do modelowania 3D. Kurs zawiera treści dydaktyczne i polecenia programowe wykonane w języku HTML z zagnieżdżonymi animacjami typu "Macromedia Flesh". Dzięki temu nadaje się do zamieszczenia w sieci internetowej do nauczania zdalnego, jak również tradycyjnego.

The article presents a multimedia based three-dimensional design training course with use of AutoCAD 2008 PL software. Included in the application are explanations and prompts intended to activate the user for exploration of the three-dimensional design work essentials. The course is noted for high dynamics of the multimedia animation in the process of making the user acquainted with particular procedures and tree-dimensional modelling commands. This training course consists of didactic matter and programme commands in HTML language with integrally connected Macromedia Flesh animation. It is thus, properly adopted for location in the Internet for both e-learning as well as for conventional education.

W przypadku strzelań bojowych i symulowanych istotną rolę przy szkoleniu żołnierzy i funkcjonariuszy służb mundurowych różnych formacji odgrywa zachowanie się ćwiczącego na stanowisku ogniowym, począwszy od wykonywania czynności w odpowiednim czasie po podejmowanie niekiedy skomplikowanych decyzji o użyciu broni palnej. W związku z tym wydaje się być interesujące podjęcie działań w celu weryfikacji zachowania się żołnierzy lub funkcjonariuszy w sytuacjach dynamicznych, gdzie ważną rolę odgrywałoby przewidywanie skutków zmieniającej się dynamicznie akcji szkolenia i prawidłowość podejmowania decyzji o użyciu broni palnej. Istniałaby możliwość oceny zachowania się szkolonej osoby w sytuacjach skomplikowanych, gdzie szybkość podejmowania właściwej decyzji np. o użyciu broni palnej ogrywa kluczową rolę. Ponadto możliwość rejestracji przebiegu szkolenia i późniejszego odtworzenia wraz z ćwiczącym przy omawianiu wyników pozwalałaby na eliminację ewentualnie popełnionych błędów i doskonalenie szkolenia.

The behaviour of riflemen both military and other services is very important when they are trained through the live or simulated firing to learn the proper succession of actions and how to take decisions about the use of the gun at sophisticated scenaios. According to the above it seems a reasonable idea to develop a tool for monitoring and evaluation of behaviour of trainees at dynamic situations focused at the anticipation of resultsoffered by the dynamic events and proper decision making process on the use of the gun. It could provide a possibility to avaluate a trainee at complicated and very dynamic scenorios when taking the right and quick decisions is a crucial factor. Moreover a possibility to record the process could help to analyse it with a trainee and eliminate the errors.
