The performance of the multi-hop relaying networks applied to Internet of Things (IoT) networks is investigated in the present work. To ameliorate the reliability of the whole network, for each hop, we employ cooperative communications subject to co-channel interference. In particular, several cooperative schemes are applied in the present work namely, incremental relaying, selection combining, and maximal ratio combining. In this context, we derive the exact closed-form expressions of end-to-end (e2e) outage probability (OP) of the whole systems over Rayleigh fading distribution. Numerical results based on the Monte-Carlo method are then employed to not only confirm the accuracy of the proposed mathematical framework but also to illustrate the advantages of the considered schemes compared with the conventional multi-hop relaying without using cooperative communications.

In the world of wireless communication, cooperative communication is a modern and unprecedented approach which enables wireless nodes to transfer the information in a cooperative manner and finally to reach the destination without least possible deterioration. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) can provide high data rate and better performance and a combination of OFDM and cooperative communication may push a wireless network forward to its next generation with enhanced reliability and efficiency. In this work, we develop a mathematical model for cooperative multiple input multiple output (MIMO) OFDM system. Results are achieved in the study to evaluate and compare bit error rate (BER) for different detection schemes. Based on the results it can be mentioned that the performance of cooperative MIMO-OFDM with space time block code (STBC) under amplify and forward (AF) relay for the MMSE-SIC detection scheme was found very satisfactory with improved signal to noise ratio (SNR).

W artykule przedstawiono model matematyczny kooperacyjnej komunikacji bezprzewodowej wiele wejść, wiele wyjść (MIMO) z multipleksingiem i ortogonalnym podziałem częstotliwości (OFDM). Określono współczynnik BER (bit error rate) dla różnych metod detekcji. Najlepsze parametry otrzymano dla systemu STBC (space time block code).

W artykule zaprezentowano zagadnienia związane z transmisją kooperacyjną. Polega ona na wykorzystaniu terminali ruchomych jako stacji przekaźnikowych w celu poprawy jakości transmisji i wydajności sieci oraz zmniejszenia zużycia energii. Zaprezentowano metody stosowane do realizacji transmisji kooperacyjnej i przedstawiono wykorzystujące ją rodzaje sieci.

In this paper, a new cooperation scheme is provided that implements the advantages of both DF and AF schemes to enhance the performance in wireless networks. We suppose that nodes can access the channel information and based on this, the cooperation scheme is selected and applied. This algorithm is repeated when channel states have an effective variety. We apply this strategy to a single relay system with square MQAM signals where optimum power allocation is employed. Simulations and comparisons verify that symbol-error-rate (SER) performance can be improved properly.
