W artykule omówiono wycenę inwestycji zawierającej poziom zwiększonego ryzyka w kontekście przedsięwzięć podejmowanych przez przedsiębiorstwo górnicze. W celu pełniejszej oceny ryzyka, autor proponuje wprowadzenie modyfikacji w jednej z powszechnie wykorzystywanych metod wyceny inwestycji, a mianowicie w metodzie opartej na wskaźniku NPV (Net Present Value). Jej celem jest przede wszystkim ograniczenie ryzyka inwestycyjnego w ramach zmiennych makroekonomicznych, na które inwestor nie ma wpływu, a do których zaliczono cenę miedzi, srebra i złota w kontekście wydobycia i przerobu rudy miedzi, jak i cenę waluty rozliczeniowej, czyli dolara amerykańskiego. Modyfikacja ta polega na uwzględnieniu kosztów zabezpieczenia finansowego realizacji przedsięwzięcia inwestycyjnego i wyznaczeniu tzw. strefy bezpieczeństwa, informującej o zbyt wysokim ryzyku, a tym samym sugerującej, iż nie powinno się podejmować działań zmierzających w kierunku realizacji planowanej inwestycji.

In the article the valuation of an investment comprising the level of increased risk in the context of undertakings realised through the mine has been discussed. Aiming at a more complete risk assessment, the author proposes to introduce modifications into one of commonly used investment valuation methods, namely into the method based on the NPV (Net Present Value) index. Its objective is first of all the reduction of the investment risk in the framework of macroeconomic variables, on which the investor has no influence, and among which the price of copper, silver and gold in the context of output and processing of copper ore as well as the price of the settlement currency, i.e. US dollar, were counted. This modification consists in taking into account the costs of financial security of investment undertaking realisation and determination of the so-called safety zone, informing about too high risk, and thus suggesting that actions aiming towards the realisation of the planned investment should not been undertaken.
