Virtual Reality (VR) is an amazing tool in the field of interaction, simulation, and entertainment between humans and computers. This technology is often used for recreational purposes in combination with physical activities. The main objective of this study was to compare intermittent training with continuous training on the shooting range. The first part of the article presents the essence of virtual reality and the possibilities that arise from its use. Then the created virtual environment, in which the shooter is located, and the way the study has been carried out are presented. The attempts of the participants were shown and evaluated. The realistic physics of movement and environment interactions have been designed into this map. The main aspects of the modelled and programmed shooting range were presented and their use has been described. The following section describes the research process and the analysis of the results of the test carried out on eight participants who had not previously been exposed to virtual reality. The test subjects were divided into two groups, one intermittent training and the other continuous training. The results of these groups were compared to assess which forms of training in a virtual reality environment were more beneficial.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badania rynku usług edukacyjnych (w województwie śląskim) świadczonych w systemie pozaszkolnym dla pracowników podziemnych zakładów górniczych węgla kamiennego. Omówiono funkcjonowanie tego rynku, w tym między innymi rozwiązania organizacyjne, jakość kształcenia, stopień zaspokajania popytu (obecnego/przyszłego), a także reagowanie na pojawiające się potrzeby szkoleniowe.

The article presents the results of study concern educational services market (in Silesia voivodeship) provide in informal learning system for coal mines. The article illustrates functioning of the market, as regards e.g.: organizational solutions, learning quality, level of satisfy demand (current/future) and flexibility in responding on appearing training needs.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki sondażu przeprowadzonego wśród przedstawicieli podziemnych zakładów górniczych odpowiedzialnych za ustawiczne kształcenie zawodowe załóg górniczych. Zaprezentowany materiał empiryczny pokazuje, jak rynek edukacji pozaszkolnej oceniają jego odbiorcy. Tym samym uzupełnia wiedzę o przebiegu procesu ustawicznego kształcenia zawodowego. Drugi uczestnik procesu, tj. podmioty szkolące załogi górnicze w systemie pozaszkolnym, zostały opisane w innym artykule (Majer, Nowak 2011).

The article presents the results of opinion poll carried out among representatives of coal mines reliable for persistent vocational education and training of coal mines employees. The study showing the assessment of informal learning market by services receivers. The analysis complete knowledge concern process of persistent training coal mines employees, as the opinion of second participants of the process, training institutions were describe in other article published by the same authors (Majer, Nowak 2011).

Konieczność ustawicznego rozwoju zawodowego osób posiadających wyższe wykształcenie techniczne wynika w dużej mierze z wymagań formalnych, a kształcenie jest niezbędne z uwagi na szybki postęp wiedzy i techniki. "Kształcenie podyplomowe", którym określa się kształcenie osób, które ukończyły wyższe studia jest warunkiem utrzymania pozycji zawodowej, a szczególnie awansu naukowego czy zawodowego. Chciałoby się zacytować starą rzymską maksymę "disce aut discede" - "ucz się albo odejdż".

The need for technical graduates to undergo constant professional development is largely a result of formal requirements, but education is necessary in view of the rapid progress of knowiedge and technology. "Post-graduate training", meaning education for persons who have completed degrees, is a necessary condition for the maintenance of one's professional position, and particularly for professional or academic advancement. It is relevant to cite the old Roman maxim disce aut discede - "learn or leave".
