W artykule przedstawiono wybrane warunki ograniczające modelu matematycznego optymalnego doboru technologii bezwykopowej budowy przewodów podziemnych z zastosowaniem rozmytych metod modelowania. Określono dla nich przestrzenie lingwistyczne i numeryczne, przedstawiono ich funkcje przynależności oraz zbiory rozmyte.

The article presents selected conditions restricting the mathematical model of optimal selection of trench-less technology in the construction of underground ducts using fuzzy modelling techniques. Linguistic and numerical spaces are determined for them. Their membership functions and fuzzy sets are presented.

Content available remote Effects of Local Volume Constraints on Optimal Topologies of Continuums

Optimal stiffness design of a structure with local volume constraints on its subdomains is investigated. In practical engineering, a structure may have many subdomains with local volume constraints to meet the multi-function of structure. A new heuristic approach simulating the bone remodelling process is presented to solve such problem. The essentials of the present approach are summarized as follows. Firstly, the topology optimization of structure is equivalent to bone remodelling process. Corresponding to the dead zone in bone remodelling theory, a floating interval of reference strain energy density (SED) is proposed. Secondly, the update of the design variable, i.e. the relative density of a material point, is determined by comparison between the local SED and the current interval of reference SED. Thirdly, to satisfy the global constraints in an optimization problem, the global reference interval changes in simulation. Finally, to satisfy the local volume constraints of subdomains in structure, the same amount of local reference intervals are adopted to modify the update rule of local materials. Numerical examples are employed to demonstrate the effects of the local volume constraints on the optimal topologies of structures.

The LMI based method for the control with the state estimate, subject to the input variable constraints in the state feedback control of the linear MIMO systems, is presented in the paper. For this problem are obtained the state feedback as well as the estimator gain matrices that capture the required stability by solving the linear matrix inequalities formulated in the sense of the unified algebraic approach. The method is particularly effective when the input variable constraints and the system output are of interest.

Porous metal bearings as a special sort of sliding bearing are common in use today in most of machines. Their main characteristic is the possibility of selflubrication during operating life. The aim of this paper is to apply already developed basic concept for optimum design of sliding bearings generally on this sort of selflubricating porous metal bearing and make their optimum design study. The study gives objective functions and some equality and inequality constrains based on hydrodynamics lubrication theory. The optimum design model and procedure are realised through developed computer programme followed by numerical examples and results analysis.
