Effective Real Time Control (RTC) system dedicated to combined sewerage system requires a suitable retention resources. Use of conduits volume of combined sewerage network is one of the possible solutions. Having this in mind, analysis of potential conduits retention in combined sewerage network of Wrocław city was performed. This analysis based on Wrocław MPWiK GIS resources, which were previously qualitatively assessed. Calculated volume of combined system conduits was referenced to the total catchment area and to the impervious surface area only, which was possible through earlier preparation of impervious areas map for the Wroclaw city center based on information provided by the Urban Atlas. Finally, maps of potential retention distribution for the area serviced by combined sewerage network were plotted in three spatial resolutions in the range from 500m×500m to 100m×100m.
