The article presents the approach to the design process of acoustic panels based on the scientific research. This approach is based on combining the technical and the design competences to develop the innovative product value for the concept of acoustic panels. The article presents the concepts of two new acoustic panels – an absorbing and scattering panel and a panel reflecting sound waves. The first part of the article presents the starting point for the presented project – the acoustic research and the inspiration for both types of presented solutions. Next, the materials possible to use were discussed, which could reproduce the natural acoustic properties of the lava and glacier caves. The next part presents consecutive stages of the product development in a modern form, ensuring the expected acoustic properties. The last part of the article presents a fully functional solution and proposes further research and development directions.

Proposals of the conceptual design of the tensegrity structure sports hall covering were presented. The issues of shaping, modeling and guidelines for the assembly of the designed roof are shown.

W artykule wskazano na sposoby pozyskania sprzętu pancernego w oparciu o obowiązujące decyzje MON. Rozwini to opis sposobu pozyskania nowego sprzętu w oparciu o prace B+R, definiując ogólne częci składowe Studium Wykonalności, kryteria parametryczne, zakres niezbędnych analiz i prac wstępnych dla przyjęcia ogólnego układu konstrukcyjnego realizowanego projektu koncepcyjnego. W szczególności odniesiono się do analiz parametrycznych, stosując jako kryterium oceny spełnienie oczekiwa przyszłego użytkownika i wpływu rozwiązania na ogólny układ konstrukcyjny.

The paper presents methods of acquiring armoured equipment based on valid decisions of the Ministry of Defence. A description is given of the method of acquiring new equipment based on R&D studies along with the definitions of general components of the Feasibility Study, parametric criteria, scope of analyses and studies required for adopting a general structural arrangement of the concept design. Special reference is made to parametric analyses, with the adopted evaluation criterion being the meeting of future user’s expectations and the effect of the solution on the general structural arrangement.

Opisano problem badaczy, przedmiot badań - pojazd PRWL, metodę badań oraz elementy wyników badań ukierunkowanych na opracowanie demonstratora technologii pojazdu PRWL. Podano też informacje na temat zastosowania pojazdu PRWL. Przedstawione w artykule informacje stanowią elementy prac autorów i wyników wstępnych badań przeprowadzonych na Politechnice Gdańskiej na Wydziale Oceanotechniki i Okrętownictwa Politechniki Gdańskiej w latach 2014-2015.

In the paper the basic problems associated with development the concept of an inland water rescue vehicle PRWL which is devoted to perform the rescue activities on the inland waters covered by ice is presented. The research objective, PRWL vehicle, research method and some elements of the research directed towards development of the PRWL vehicle technology demonstrator has been described. Some information on a possible application of the PRWL vehicle have been given. The information presented in the paper are the results of work of the authors and results of research investigations conducted at the Gdańsk University of Technology, Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology between 2014 and 2015.

W województwie warmińsko-mazurskim panują doskonałe warunki do uprawiania turystyki rowerowej. Jednym z wariantów lokalizacji nowych tras rowerowych jest wykorzystanie do tego celu nieczynnych linii kolejowych. Przystosowanie ich do nowej funkcji pociąga za sobą konieczność niezbędnych prac związanych m. in. z umocnieniami nasypów oraz wycinką roślinności. Po odpowiednim przygotowaniu większość z nich może być z powodzeniem wykorzystywana do rozwoju turystyki. Głównym celem pracy jest określenie potencjału nieczynnych linii kolejowych do rozwoju turystyki rowerowej w województwie warmińsko-mazurskim. Celem szczegółowym jest analiza przypadku nieczynnej linii kolejowej Lidzbark Warmiński - Jarzeń. W pracy zaprezentowano koncepcję przekształcenia linii kolejowej w trasę rowerową. Na podstawie wyników przeprowadzonych badań oraz analiz materiału źródłowego sformułowano wytyczne projektowe do wyznaczania tego rodzaju szlaków. Głównym założeniem koncepcji projektowej było rozmieszczenie miejsc postojowych wzdłuż trasy, skomunikowanie ścieżki z ciągami samochodowymi oraz wkomponowanie w trasę elementów małej architektury. Ze względu na przeciętne walory krajobrazowe zdecydowano, że powinna ona zostać urozmaicona i należy wprowadzić wzdłuż niej elementy o funkcji edukacyjnej i rekreacyjnej. Motywem przewodnim projektowanego szlaku są występujące na obszarze badań liczne mokradła i bagna oraz rzadkie gatunki ptaków.

The Province of Warmia and Mazury possesses excellent conditions for the pursuit of cycling tourism. One possible solution for creating new bicycle trails is to use the disused railway tracks. Their adaptation to the new function will necessitate such works as the reinforcement of banks, clearing brambles, etc. When properly adapted, former railway tracks can be successfully used for the development of tourism. The main purpose of this paper has been to determine the potential adaptability of disused railway tracks for development of the tourism industry in the Province of Warmia and Mazury. A morę detailed objective has been to perform a case study on a former railway link between Lidzbark Warmiński and Jarzeń. The article presents a concept of how this railway line could be converted into a bicycle trail. Based on the investigations and analyses performed, guidelines have been put forth to support design of such tourist trails. The underlying assumption was to design resting sites along the trail, to link to trail with motor roads, and to include elements of street architecture into the bi-cycle route. Because the landscape values along the analyzed railway track are of modest quality, the authors have decided that it should be made more attractive by adding educational and recreational facilities. The overriding motive was to draw attention to the numerous marshes and wetlands along the trail, and to some rare species of birds dwelling there.

W artykule została przedstawiona analiza studialna koncepcji budowy zakładu termicznej utylizacji odpadów dla miasta Drawsko Pomorskie i powiatu drawskiego w oparciu o ilości powstałych tu odpadów z oceną techniczno-ekonomiczną. Autorzy w analizie ekonomicznej projektu uwzględnili koszty inwestycyjne oraz wyliczyli jednostkowy koszt eksploatacyjny. Artykuł zawiera krytyczną analizę koncepcji ciągu technologicznego zakładu – proponowana do ewentualnego wdrożenia spalania odpadów nie jest technologicznie, rozwiązaniem idealnym i nie jest inwestycją zupełnie obojętną dla środowiska. Lecz zawsze w przypadku podejmowania decyzji o realizacji takiej inwestycji stoimy przed wyborem mniejszego zła i nieodzowna jest tu określona edukacja ekologiczna w danym lokalnym społeczeństwie.

The paper presents the study analysis of the concept of the construction of waste incineration plant for the Drawsko Pomorskie and Drawsko County, based on the amount of waste produced and with technical and economic assessment of the possible project. The authors in their economic analysis of this project have taken into account the capital costs and calculated the unit operating cost. The paper includes a critical analysis of the concept of the technological line of the Incineration Plant – the possible implementation of the proposed incinerator is not the ideal technology and not totally indifferent to the environment. But always, when deciding on the implementation of the investment – we face a choice between two evils, and specified indispensable environmental education in the local community is required.

The author attempts to defend the thesis that the concept of creative freedom and necessity appear to be only apparently contradictory with regard to architectural creation. Proposed in the article, the vision of creative work, combines seemingly distant concepts of necessity and freedom, and gives rise to make the right design decisions, so that there are no obstacles to do what is best.
