Computerisation of modern medical facility on the example of the Przychodnia Akademicka Sp. z o.o.

Purpose: The main aim of the article is to discuss an example of a selected medical facility compliance with formal and legal requirements concerning the obligation to computerise. Design/methodology/approach: The scope is possible to achieve by using the research method in the form of a case study. The theoretical part contains considerations regarding the level of the development of e-government and e-health. It is also analyzed in terms of the legal framework and the documents forming electronic public services by the stages of their implementation. Furthermore, barriers and problems facing the process of e-government and e-health in Poland are also taken into account in this study. Findings: On the basis of the conducted surveys, it was made the assessment of the every stage of computerisation of this entity, taking into account both those stages which were completed and those in progress. Research limitations/implications: The conducted surveys were limited to a selected medical facility and may therefore be a prelude to more extensive analyses in this area. Originality/value: The article contains a description of the specific action in the selected entity. In that regard, it represents a new local value. The results may be useful for researchers working on that subject and for the practitioners managing such entities.

Autor artykułu przedstawia w usystematyzowany sposób najsilniej występujące zjawiska i ich prognozowane lub dostrzegane skutki oraz uwidacznia ich wpływ na sferę moralną człowieka i w szerszym zakresie moralność społeczną. Do zjawisk tych zalicza np.: globalizację, informatyzację, konsumpcjonizm, biotechnologię i inne. Artykuł jest syntezą zjawisk globalnych wywołanych postępem cywilizacyjnym i technologicznym oraz wybranych aspektów wojskowości i walki zbrojnej przedstawioną w różnych konfiguracjach. Jego głównym celem jest zwrócenie uwagi na pozytywne skutki, ale także niebezpieczeństwa i dylematy moralne, jakie niosą ze sobą różne aspekty rozwoju, szczególnie w odniesieniu do sfery wojskowej. Ma on zasygnalizować niebezpieczeństwo powstania luki między systemami wartości i deontologią, przystosowanymi do zjawisk już znanych a mogącymi dopiero nastąpić. Poprzez zwrócenie uwagi powinien on wykazać konieczność podjęcia szerszych rozważań nad wypracowaniem stanowiska etyki dla prognozowanych zjawisk oraz konieczność predefiniowania utrwalonych już pojęć, np.: wojny słusznej.

In a systematic way the article shows the most frequently occurring phenomena with their projected or at least perceived results as well as highlights their influence on the moral sphere of both an individual and a society. These phenomena include globalisation, computerisation, consumerism, biotechnology and others. The article contains the synthesis of the global phenomena resulting from the progress of both civilization as well as technology and some aspects of army and armed struggle presented in various configurations. Its main purpose is to draw the attention of the reader not only to the positive aspects but also to threats and moral dilemmas which arise from different aspects of development, particularly in relation to the military sphere. It aims at indicating the danger connected with the appearance of a gap between the network of values and deontology which have already got adapted to the existing, well-known phenomena as well as those which may occur in the future. By drawing the reader’s attention, the article should prove the necessity of broader considerations to elaborate the position of ethics towards the expected phenomena as well as to redefine the existing fixed notions like, for example, right war.

W artykule podjęto próbę identyfikacji zasobów informacyjnych przedsiębiorstwa i określenia podstawowych ich właściwości. Proces organizacji zasobów informacyjnych wymaga strukturalizacji potrzeb firmy i odniesienia do istniejącej bazy techniczno-technologicznej. Szczególnego znaczenia nabierają systemy rozproszone z możliwością ich integracji w aspekcie wdrażania strategii X-engineeringu. Przedstawiono możliwość adaptacji niektórych rozwiązań dla potrzeb zarządzania organizacją procesową. Przydatność zintegrowanych, standardowych systemów informatycznych zarządzania może być widziana w aspekcie oceny możliwości wspomagania decyzji. Wymaga to jednak spójnych koncepcji związanych z racjonalnym wykorzystaniem zasobów organizacji rozproszonych do realizacji wspólnych celów. Nowoczesne koncepcje w zarządzaniu organizacjami rozproszonymi eksponują platformę Internetu do komunikacji z otoczeniem i do wzmacniania wspólnego potencjału małych i średnich firm.

In this article we have tried to identify information recourses of organization and describe their properties. Process of organizing information resources requires definition of organizations needs and relating them to existing technological base. Distributed systems with the possibilities of their integration get special meaning in the aspect of implementation of x-engineering strategy. We presented the possibility of adaptation of some of the solutions for management of process organization. Need of integrated standard management information systems may be seen in the aspect of the possibilities to aid decisions. This requires integral concepts connected to rational use of organization resources for realization of common goals. Modern concepts in distributed organization management use the Internet platform for communicating with environment and for enforcing common potential of small and medium organizations.

W Zakładzie Geologii i Geofizyki Głównego Instytutu Górnictwa prowadzone są cztery banki danych: 1. o dopływach do kopalń i mineralizacji wód, 2. zasobach węgla, 3. zasobach metanu i 4. wstrząsach górniczych występujących w GZW. W artykule przedstawiono informację o strukturach tych banków oraz o charakterze i typie danych, jakie one zawierają. Istniejące bazy pozwalają na opracowywanie szerokich analiz i prognoz, ułatwiających zarządzanie działalnością górniczą.

Department of Geology and Geophysics of the Main Mining Institute keep four data banks: 1. About water inflows and mineralization, 2. Coal reserves, 3. Methane resources and 4. Rock bumps occuring in GZW (Uppersilesian Coal Basin). Information about the structure of these banks as well as about the character and type of data they include is presented in the paper. Existing bases allow to work out broad analyses and forecasts making management of mining activity easier.

Praca poświęcona jest podstawowym problemom, a także możliwościom szybkiego usprawnienia recyklingu w Polsce. Rosnąca ilość samochodów przeznaczonych na złom, ochrona środowiska, a w końcu dostosowanie do struktur europejskich wymagają od nas szybkiego wprowadzania systemu komunikacji między zakładami demontażu samochodów. Komunikację taką, za pośrednictwem Internetu, mógłby zapewnić odpowiedni system komputerowy.

The paper presents the basic problems and the possibilities of improvements in recycling area in Poland. The increasing numbers of recycled cars need appropriate computer communication between vehicle disassembly factories. The best solution is obtained by using Internet that helps also ordinary people to get information about their offers and it meets the European standard.
