Posługując się licencjonowanymi programami komputerowymi opartymi na metodzie elementów skończonych przeprowadzono symulacje procesu przebijania okrętowych osłon balistycznych pociskami karabinowymi 12,7 mm. Badaniom poddano osłony złożone z jednej do sześciu warstw o grubościach 24 mm i 30 mm, wykonanych ze stali kadłubowej o zwykłej i podwyższonej wytrzymałości. Rezultaty badań mogą być pomocne w projektowaniu okrętowych osłon balistycznych narażonych na ostrzał pociskami karabinowymi.

Licensed computer software based on the final element method was used to carry out a simulation process for penetrating ship ballistic shields with 12.7 mm ammunition. The investigations included shields consisting of one to six layers of ships steel of both standard and enhanced strength 24 mm and 30 mm thick. The results obtained can be useful in designing ballistic shields for protection against small arms fire.

Computer based simulations can be used for assessment of traffic lane perimeters, and an actual level of risk at given area and given conditions. Navigational risk is defined as the product of probability of failure occurrence and the consequences it can cause. Additionally, the definition of risk was supplemented by relative frequency of performing the maneuver in given conditions and in given time t. In article method of simulation data possessing for maneuvers of approaching and entering to port, on base of specific vessels, is presented. Autonomous and non autonomous simulation methods are used for obtaining data sets, are supported in presented software solution, as well as restrictions in its implementation.
