The paper discusses the methodology of complex experimental tests of prestressed beam-and-block floor systems, carried out at the Research Laboratory for Building Materials and Structures at the Cracow University of Technology, which meets accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA). These studies included both preparation of tested elements and subsidiary tests of component materials, as well as experimental research of slab elements with a span range from 4.30 m to 10.30 m. In addition, due to unusual shape of the joint between the beam and in-situ concrete, and a lack of well-defined computational model of this connection, there was a need to know the nature of its work - thus a research on monolithism of composite floor system was also completed.
